With the Matrix, you just have to know what to expect. And a big need to want to know all about the Matrix makes the expierence much mor enjoyable 🙂

I agree. The game initially got mediocre reviews, but sales prove that the game is doing well. For now I'm just waiting for a better deal on the game.

Gamestop has the Monster Cable 400X HDTV cable set for $44.99.

Good price to use for a 110% PM to either Best Buy or Circuit City, who have it for $59.99 regular price.

Just wanted to comment on this cable - it's awesome. Huge difference from the standard AV cable. If your setup supports a component hookup, it's a great investment. I use my Xbox for DVD's as well and the Monster 400x is an investment well made. 😀

Standard disclaimer: "My apologies if someone else has posted this previously in this several-hundred posts long thread."

I was at my local Blockbuster tonight, and they're selling all previously viewed DVDs and video games for 25% off. They had a 6-foot long table full of Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2 games. I didn't get anything (yet), but I was tempted by MGS2:Substance for $11.25 after the discount.

There's also a HUGE difference in quality over MS' own High-Def AV pack. Mostly due to the crappy cables included with the MS HD pack.

And at that price, the Monster is cheaper than the MS HD pack with a set of decent quality cables, altho the fact that the 400x requires a proprietary optical cable can be a drag.

BTW: I'm also using $20 in MSN Rewards cash toward this 400x. So my out of pocket cost will only be around $23.49

For all you folks eagerly awaiting Crimson Skies (like me), the Thrustmaster Fox 2 Pro Flight Stick has been reduced to $14.99 at EBgames.com. Same price should be valid at the B&M stores. You can check out the stick here.

BTW: Me = thinking this is a perfect way to use the $10 of store credit I have at EB.

At LA/OC Fry's through Tuesday:
$14.99 Silent Hill 2
$14.99 Terminator Dawn of Fate

on clearance:
$19.90 NBA Starting 5
$ 9.90 Smashing Drive

Thanks for the heads up on the flight stick! I'll be grabbing one.

Corrected Thrustmaster Fox 2 Pro link

Edit: Thought I'd also mention a deal I saw today at my local ToysRUs. It was the Xbox (Sega Bundle), Star Wars Clone Wars, and NBA Inside Drive 2003 for $179.99. It my be a YMMV situation since I also saw a flyer in the store for $189.99 and an ad in the store saying $199.99. The $179.99 price was on a table in the "R Zone" where they had the Xbox and two games displayed.

Went to 6 different blockbusters in my area for xbox games...found jet set radio future and got it for little over $5. Was in pretty good condition and came with the case and manuals. The shelves were pretty empty in most of the stores i been to as far as xbox games are concerned. More ps2 and gamecube stuff tho. MGS2:substance was $39.99 in a few stores I went to. So thats a pretty good deal.

DOA:XBV doesn't have a 4 player mode. Max amount of players is 2. Had it, got rid of the game. Didn't find the re-playability (is that even a word?) very high.

That sucks...was hoping it was 4 player. Can anyone reccomend any other good 4 player games?

Kbtoys is having a sale on alot of xbox games. Alot have been mentioned in the threads and some have not. There is also a 5 dollar off 40 coupon floating around.

So what brute force deals are you all going to be going for? Personally I like the circuit city deal with the free controller.
Anything better?

I am not sure if this has been posted before (I have read the entire link, at one time or another), so if it has, disregard 🙂

Get $30 mail-in rebate coupon when you purchase an Xbox video game console, any Xbox accessory valued at $19.99 or higher and any Xbox game valued at $29.99 or higher.

Linkage to EB Deal

...so @ $179 for the bundle, it's pretty much a free game with the purchase of an accessory valued @ $19.99 or higher, more or less 🙂

Also, is the "High Definition AV Pack" worth the mula? I am planning on purchasing a big screen when I get my X-Box, and this looks like something I would want...or is it a waste of money?

How so? I have both of them, and noticed no difference whatsoever after doing some comparisons. Given, I don't have an HDTV but still. Just curious.

And I can't seem to be able to plug an optical cable into the slot, what kind of adapter does it require?

I have an HDTV and I have the Hi Def pack.....it works very wll. I'm even using the cables that came with the pack, but you can upgrade the cables if you like. I think they work just fine though. I've only tested it for Halo, but the sound and the picture look great on my TV, so I'm very happy.

The reason I didn't go for the Monster set is that if you buy the Monster component cables you are forced to buy the monster optical cable because you need the adaptor that comes with the optical cable in order to plug everything in. I didn't like the idea of being forced to buy that, so I decided to go with the MUCH cheaper M$ Hi Def pack and I think it works great so far.

Not sure if it is hot or anything but,

AirForce Delta Storm is $29.99 (NEW) at your favorite Gamestop affiliate. This is the one they took off the shelves after Sept 11th.

EDIT: I went out and bought it, the controls BLOW. It is not anything like a simulator on a PC. You cant go down and turn at the same time etc. You only use one control stick instead of two. Think of playing halo with only the top left control stick. It would suck. I feel like im playing Top Gun on NES or a SNES game, not a game meant for Xbox. I do like the "game play" however. Just a few things they could have fixed.

I stopped by Gamestop today and they said that if I arrived after 7pm that I could pick up brute force today instead of tommorow... in case any of you are really that impatient..guess u can try your local gamestop. Also I read the MS HDPACK cables are crap compared to ones made by a third party like monster, acoustic research, etc...

Whooo, EB Games called me at like 7:45, told me brute force was in. Funny because my EB NEVER gets games in on ship day. So far I would say its only ok, but of course, I'm only like two levels into it.
