$19.99 - $5 = $14.99 - $3.30 = $11.69

They will only take one or the other.

I was in both BB and Target today trying to get the Rallisport Challenge Platinum Hits, but I guess it's not out yet. Maybe they're releasing some later than others. But I thought all of them were supposed to retail for $19.99. At BB they had a bunch for $19.99, except Star Wars: Starfighter was $29.99. Why is it that some cost more than others?

Went to Target today and picked up Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 Platinum Hits edition for $16.99! A couple of other Platinum Hits titles like Amped were also available for that price.

Amped
Max Payne
Project Gotham Racing
Simpsons Road Rage
Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter
Tony Hawk 3
Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions

BTW: All except for PGR had a shelf tag showing a price of $16.99

BTW2: Those silver boxes look pretty cool, IMHO

It's not worth posting cuz it expires today, but Media Play has a coupon available at the stores for $5 off Platinum Hits titles. Here's the catch - they don't seem interested in honoring it!

I stopped into MP last night looking to get Silent Hill 2. The had a kiosk set up reading "As Advertised" and they had the 12 PH titles on it. NONE of them were the new packaging and nothing said "These are the Platinum Hits", but I recognized the titles. I take SH2 and the cashier rings it up and asks for $25+tax. I pointed out that it was a PH title and they were on sale. A manager crone happened by and the cashier axed her if they could honor it. She looked and said that since it wasn't labeled Platinum Hits and since it was ringing up for $29.99 on their register, they weren't gonna deal.

I've printed out the PH list from Xbox.com and also their page from Media Play.com showing it's $19.99 and I'm looking to bust some caps! Stay tuned....

There seems to be a LOT of confusion in the retail channel like this, especially for older copies of the PH titles that are still in the non-PH packaging.

On my way to Media Ghey, I stopped at a GameStop about a half-mile away to see what PH games were going for used - they looked to be $16-$17 and with my discount card, I'm looking at ~$15.30 and I'm not gonna shoot up a store over 30 cents. (I'm sure there are Ferengi around here who'd be calling their lawyers, though.)

As reported last week, Konami of America today released Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams Platinum Hits for the Xbox. The Platinum Hits version, as with the original, has players taking on the role of James Sunderland as he travels to Silent Hill to uncover the truth about his wife?s death. The game has new secrets, an all-new character (Maria) and, as with the original, is rated ?M? for mature. Like all Platinum Hits games, Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams Platinum Hits retails for $19.99 USD.

This was already posted by someone here on the list, but thanks for the reminder, my man!

BTW: It's "Jedi Starfighter," rather than the 'Starfighter" game. Two different titles.

I was in 2 other BestBuy & Targets today. Best Buy had the non-Platinum Hits regular Jedi Starfighter for $19.99 but the Platinum Hit's Special Edition one was $29.99 (as I said in an earlier post).

Weird part is that online @ BestBuy.com the PH-SE game is $19.99.

Also since Target has all the PH games for $16.99 this week, I picked up a copy from there. However, they're non-sale price is also $29.99. Thought it was weird that this game is more than other PH games.

My question now is does anyone know which version (special edition or not) comes with the Gamestop pre-order of Indiana Jones. If it's the special edition one that I just picked up then I'll return the one I bought, if not, then I'll ebay the gamestop one. Thanx for any help.

Different games. Star Wars: Starfighter SE is a PH, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter is not. Jedi Starfighter is $19.99 at Best Buy and comes free with the IJ preorder at GameStop.

Not a Hot Deal (except maybe for me and MTG), but I'll be at the hospital all day today, so no updates to the BIG LIST today.

ZAMMO!!!! More Xbox Live content:
Ubi Soft Entertainment has announced plans to release Kola Cell, a new level for the highly successful videogame Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell to be available for download through Microsoft's Xbox Live online game service, when it launches in Europe.

Sam Fisher fans won't have to wait long! The new mission for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell will be available to download by Xbox Live subscribers on 14th March 2003 - the very day the service launches in Europe - at no additional cost.
From PlanetXbox.com

As if the news of the MA DLC yesterday wasn't enough :D

Project Gotham Racing. Which reminds me. Anyone have any tips for me? I seem stuck on level 9 in kodus mode and have 2 more gold medals to get in arcade mode. I'd really like to get the viper, but these levels are really erritating and I can't seem to pass them no matter how much I try with the corvette, elise, or the ford focus (the other cars I have suck). I really want that Viper :)
