Umm....No, I don't think 6 games is a lot. I got my Xbox 10 days ago and I already have 11 games. But if you actually looked at the pages before speaking, you'll notice that his first page has pictures of 12 games. That's already more than 6...so if he has 6 pages linked...and yes, I clicked on them all...there's a lotta games on there.

You're right...coupon good for Electronics store only.
Xbox is considered part of "Games" store.

i need ur guys's advice: what game should i ask for for my birthday in like 6 days? I have xbox live and love it, but the game doesn't necessarily have to utilize it, although that'd be fun... i've got the solid classics, ie. halo, splinter cell, metal gear, and a bunch of others... what are some newer games youd reccommend? i don't need any more racing, i'm not a big fan of pure rpg, i don't need any more sports... i guess i like shooting, action/adventure, etc... so, tell me: what game should i get?

Prolly...but I'd call first if it is a long drive!

Better bet might be to see if BB will PM the CompUSA $10 off, then see if they will allow you to use a $5 off GG card coupon.

Not a deal, but I wanted to inquire:

I pretty much suck at Mechassault online, but still love playing it.

My question: Has anyone suggested getting a bunch of die-hard "Tallgeese xbox list" followers together online at the same time for a big Mechassault frag fest? I am sure a few of you have already done this, but it would be fun if there was at least one organized event.

I'd definately be in for a Anandtech Live gaming session. I just bought Live but haven't installed it yet. From reading the xbox.com forums, it seems like there are a quite a high number of jerks on Live, and I haven't wanted to go on yet until A) my skills got much better and B) can find some cool people to play with.

I'd be up for a friendly game of Mechassault or NFL 2k3, both of which I suck at, but it'd be nice to play with some fellow Atechers!

I'm down, but how do you make sure we all get on the same game. Can you have a private game? I was playing with some kids the other day and this one guy got some stupid song stuck in my head. Every time he made a kill he would sing, "Stompin' in my airforce ones, Stompin' in my airforce ones!" Guess it's a rap song, but there was a lot of trash talk, guys that were totally worried about their stats and stuff. If you're into that, I guess it's cool, but it was still some fun gaming.

There is already a BIG LIST - XBox Gamertags thread that I started in OT for this kind of matching, so let's take this conversation over there, if y'all don't mind.

Also, I'd be more than happy to organize some matches between AT folks, and post them at the start of that thread.
PM me with times you can play (days of the week and times), the games you'd like to play and if you are willing to be a host (better if you have a nice fat connection, so include your BW up/down please).

BTW: If you haven't yet, you may want to submit your Tag for inclusion in that list.

BTW2: Fisher, Skoorb, Nerdshoe and I play together quite a bit. I played AU Tiger EARLY on...and have been itchin for a rematch

Are you familiar with Panzer Dragoon Orta ? That seems to be getting a ton of favorable reviews.

yeah, heard of it/read about it... i played the demo and wasn't tooo enthralled, but i gave i could check up on it again... i'm kinda leanin toward mech assault at this point

I was at my local EB this afternoon and finally scored Serious Sam for $10!! They were out of stock when I went last week. Picked up MSG2 for $20. Its not that bad. I liked the original MSG on the PS1 and this is pretty similar. I'm purposely playing this before I get Splinter Cell, so I won't ruin the experience. The price for Buffy was still $24.99.

Although they don't really have anymore $10 deals at EB B&M, I saw some pretty decent games for $19.99 including: Project Gotham Racing, The Thing and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3.

Don't know if this was a mispricing, but I also saw LOTR: Two Towers priced for $39.99. The box was right next to a PS2 version which was priced at $49.99.
