Does anyone else stick around to the very end of the show to read the vanity cards from the Producer? Most are fairly humorous if not downright funny.

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #236

Starting 2009 with a bang!

CENSORED

As always, you know where to look.

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #236 (CENSORED)
Mom and Dad are fighting again. I used to think they didn't get along 'cause I wasn't good enough. For years and years I tried to be better, hoping that would make them happy and love each other. But even though I became the most popular kid in my class, they still fight -- now more than ever. God, if you're listening, please make Mom and Dad be nice to each other. I'm too little to make a difference, but you're God, you can do anything -- even help Dad sell off his chain of movie theaters for ten cents on the dollar. Or Showtime. Doesn't matter as long as it's worth forty-nine million dollars and makes Mom stop crying.

like the show, but I'm getting sick of the everyone-wants-to-sleep-with-Penny episodes. Don't get me wrong, I'd hit it, but its getting boring/repetitive. Then again, they've already had everyone but Sheldon make a pass, so that whole arc ought to be closed.

Wait and see, season finale will be Sheldon does Penny.

and I loved the entire bit about Sheldon trying to use Schrodinger's Cat to explain to Penny why she should go out with Leonard and she never getting it, and the he uses the same example with Leonard and he is immediatly like 'Oh, yea.'

But none of it is as good as HIMYM's Slapbet arc. That has me ROFL everytime they bring it up again.

Kaley Cuoco is sooooooooo hot
Some of the "nerd talk" goes right over my head but I'll still watch for eye candy. I like all their set designs though - really well done.

Too predictable, I wouldn't be surprised the chick gets a deal on another show and leaves the nerd show

I'm sure plenty of hot chicks would sign up in her place. They are only neighbors... they could work another in. She's lucky she's got such a big role, tbh. She didn't even get that on John Ritter's show... or Charmed afaik.

Better not get too many people liking it. If it gets too popular, everyone will start posting how it's gone down hill and it's over rated.

i started watching this tonight after my friend told me about it last weekend. it's slightly humorous but pretty damn predictable.

Show is ok, now I know I'll get the fat guy ATOT pic in response to this, but penny isn't really that hot, by no means ugly, just average.

I agree they need to drop the penny + x love interest though.

man card revocation amendment passed for maleficus.

on the bright side, they just got extended for 2 more years. more penny yeah!

i finished season 1 and now mostly through season 2. it's not as funny as i think it could be, but still funny enough to watch.

i think Raj is my favorite character.

as for penny, she goes from cute to not-so-cute often. the worst was when she got hooked on AoC. she looked so disgusting (i know that's the point, but still...). just to be clear, i wouldn't turn her down if i got the chance.

I've had a weird history with the show - at first, it was horribly cliche and the actors didn't really know their characters yet so I didn't watch it. About halfway through the season I watched it again and found myself laughing more than before so since then it's been one of my shows. It's nothing that I couldn't drop for another show though...How I Met Your Mother, on the other hand, will be watched in its entirety.

Also, one of my issues with TBBT is that the show doesn't have much of an ongoing storyline - sure, Penny and Leonard and now Leonard and the doctor lady, but other than that, its completely episodic and doesn't develop any sense of loyalty within me.

I think that's the best part. As much as I like a show with a complete back plot, I sometimes can't appreciate shows that don't allow you to get into them unless you've seen the whole story behind it. Lost, for example, I just can not get into because I don't have the time to watch the previous three seasons.

There's a lot to say about any show that you can follow from any point in the story line.

Pretty funny show, but not a must see. If it were on a night that I don't watch other shows (Heroes and Castle have Monday's) I might be more inclined to watch.

I started watching because my buddy (grad student at Caltech) talked it up.

I enjoy it, but it has it's flaws. Summer Glau on the train was awesome.

probably one of my favorite shows. how can you not like a show where they have halo night and a wii bowling team? i was cracking up when they were playing rock band.

I have watched it 4 times and have only seen two different episodes. Wtf are the odds on that? Anyway, both were kind of funny. May look into watching previous seasons on DVD.

The show definitely got better with age. At first I watched because I was curious. Now I genuinely look forward to new episodes.

I think the thing I like the most is that the geek jokes are genuine. By that, I mean they aren't canned, generic geek jokes. They make legitimate references to geek culture and get science jokes entirely accurate. It's not incredibly dumbed down, clichè stuff that usually comes with this genre.

That, and the little 1-second notes Chuck Lorre leaves for DVR viewers. Those are good.
