The show definitely got better with age. At first I watched because I was curious. Now I genuinely look forward to new episodes.

I think the thing I like the most is that the geek jokes are genuine. By that, I mean they aren't canned, generic geek jokes. They make legitimate references to geek culture and get science jokes entirely accurate. It's not incredibly dumbed down, clichè stuff that usually comes with this genre.

That, and the little 1-second notes Chuck Lorre leaves for DVR viewers. Those are good.

yeah, the last like 5 episodes of season 2 are hilarious.

That was so friggin' hilarious!

"You set it to DTS didn't you!?!?"
"But she called me cutie!"

I started watching the episode that Summer Glau was on there, and haven't stopped.

We love the show. Never miss it.

Apparently the audience is growing. They're hitting 10-13 million viewers. I predict it'll be the highest viewed comedy in a couple of years.

Yeah, I just watched it for the first time after my parents raved about how great it was... Meh. 3 nerds go to a bar, they can't get a chick... And that about sums it up. Maybe I just got a bad episode, or maybe it was the whole 10min recitation of Dalton's theory that put me off. I might give it another chance in the future, however I'm not going out of my way to see it.

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #270

Jillian had a urinary tract infection... again.

That sentence appeared in my head a few days ago, just as you see it above. I have no idea what it means, other than the obvious, and I don't know anyone named Jillian. Regardless, I thought it'd be interesting to begin a vanity card with it and just see where it goes.

Jillian had a urinary tract infection... again. Her doctor liked to abbreviate the condition to UTI. She liked to abbreviate it to TMH - Too Much Humping. Regardless, the road back to vaginal happiness was always the same: cranberry juice and abstinence. Thankfully, her boyfriend, Dudley, was always very understanding. He'd just smile, hold her in his arms and say, "Well, babe, when one door closes, another one opens up." She'd always giggle and blush when he'd say that, but deep down she wished she had the courage to cover his mouth and nose with a chloroform-soaked rag, and then, while he was unconscious, snip off his testicles with the little scissors she uses to groom her schnauzer.

All of which explains why the next sentence popped into my head recently.

Nobody sang Bee Gees songs on karaoke night like Dudley.

I watched about half of season one, just to appease some coworkers who swore up and down about how good it was.

Nope.

I've seen it in bits and pieces and it is excellent,

I plan on starting with season 1, episode 1 some day.

Word of warning, don't be turned off by the acting in the first few episodes. Don't get me wrong they're still funny as hell, but the actors take a few episodes to find their groove. 🙂

Last night when Penny was reciting the physics stuff...wow...
The Sheldon + Penny relationship is hilarious I just hope they don't overplay it...
