Faux News going to be look how divisive his speech was

For real—honestly, I don’t know what the purpose of this speech is. I understand we have some shallow Americans in the electorate (particularly 18-30) who still don’t understand the peril our democracy is in and are least likely to vote, but they are also least likely to watch the President during prime time on Thursday (isn’t it college night at bars across the country—ahead of a long weekend?)

I fear all this will do is give more fodder to the right to waste news cycles on Biden being divisive, Biden blaming conservatives for everything going wrong, or perhaps any apparent gaffes while speaking.

Edit: For the record, I shouldn’t denigrate the youngsters when I also chose not to watch his speech in real-time—I’m watching the Backyard Brawl instead.

He's going in hard on the MAGA tards.

Where is all this fire coming from? I saw a clip of him from the other day, can't remember exactly what it was about, but also remember thinking "where did this fire come from?". Maybe all the stuff going on with Trump?

Probably pissed off not being to ask DOJ what documents are involved.

He won’t get briefed until NIA completes report

Is it?
Fox News's prime time is "look how Joe Biden called 70+ million Americans "enemies of the state".

Biden got what he was going to get out of the legislature, so the gloves can come off. Americans also have goldfish brains when it comes to elections, and this stuff hits harder when it is "new" instead of "all the time". Look at the Trump Administration - so many things on their own that would be scandalous, but every week, there was some new insanity, making it hard to keep focus and making it easy to tune out.

Big deal. Not like Biden addressing the Faux News crowd. He’s readdressing the ones that voted in 2020 that weren’t going to vote in the midterms.

You miss the point.
The assertion is that there are Republicans who are not "MAGA".
I retort with words taken directly from their news channel.
Their thoughts, taken directly from a media source that is pure propaganda fueling violence.
To say nothing of OAN or Newsmax. I picked the most tame and moderate Republican source.

The OP:
Very clear that MAGA supporters!=Republicans.

exactly correct; especially the last part about the worst time of night, worst week of the year (generally first week of school...so it's like ~20 million? 19 year-olds out there getting stuffed/ doing stuffing during their first glorious week of their lives outside of the parents house, with strangers.)

the whole idea of this and the planning just seems like some kinda malarkey.

Maybe divisive isn't bad, if it divides 'republicans' vs 'trump supporters'. And I mean that more as a rebuke to Trumpism than a support of Democrats.

agree. the one thing I was thinking earlier today, that Trump can do that was ever good in his shitty fucking idiot criminal loser life, is to get so pissed about everything (and he's bitching like a 3 year old all over his online this last week), and he claimed "if he wins in 2024!" today like...is he actually running or what? He didn't say it so, no.....

so what I think might happen is that he's just ginning up his sister-fucking cult to just believe he is running and will be president at this point so that no matter what, they will at the very least obey his eventual command to "WRITE IN TRUMP!" 2024. ...it will be a motto, fucking believe me.

All the fucking trucknuts-filigreed F150s that you know in your life today will, within 1 year from now, be suddenly adorned with "WRITE-IN-TRUMP!" (but flashier in the way stupid Magats are so retarded with their mottos), and it will be everywhere.

And that's it. If Trump just siphons off another $10-15 million from these fucking rubes over the next two years of his legal nightmare, not actually run but get the word out that the only chance to SAVE MAGA! is to write in Trump. 2024.

Imagine what happens when 15-35 million true believer pieces of abject human shit actually do that and carve this massive hole out of the GOP. Make them all completely irrelevant. The entire fucking party. Because you know that you can depend on at least 20 million larval-stage republicans to fall for it. You know they will.

How awesome would this be, no?

Fuck Trumpers but I'm still super surprised at Biden's blatant callout of MAGA tards. I wish this country could be unified under democracy for once but not today. Biden has justifiably given an ultimatum to far right groups to either quit their bullshit or be expelled from political discourse.
It's a nice thought, but escalation seems to be the strategy.

I'd like to see him run as an independent as well.

Who do you think is escalating, and who do you think is responding in kind??

Sure, it would be great if Biden could channel Lincoln’s “a House divided against itself cannot stand” and play the unifier, but I think he’s keenly aware that messaging is all but tuned out on the right.

Of course Lincoln ended up playing the unifier by having Sherman BBQ his way through the south. So…..

More typical totalitarian garbage peddled by Biden and Democrats. Can't wait for the GOP to take back power so these pieces of garbage can be removed from any significance to society. This applies to a significant number of totalitarian enablers on this board.
