At least home pricing will come down when half the country is rounded up. That is a legitimate concern for millennials I think. Problem is, what do we do with those rounded up? Something efficient would be wise. It doesn't really matter, at least those who deserve a home and want a home will be able to have one for almost free (if not free?) If you are holding real estate stocks in your portfolio now might be the time to liquidate.

I can't imagine how far to the right one would have to be to see a wishy-washy moderate-conservative guy like Biden as some sort of 'totalitarian' extremist. One would have to be an off-the-scale, neo-Nazi, I would say. Or maybe a fanatical Maoist, I suppose, in the other direction.
Did you note the back ground and the lighting? The two Marines? The only thing they missed was putting Biden in a flashy generals uniform with thirty fake medals.
What moron thought this entire display was a good idea? Someone decided that this was the image they wanted to present, someone decided that issuing a straight up challenge to half the nation was a sensible idea.

This speech was not about what you think it is. This was about preparing the nation for an ex-President to be charged with serious crimes.
I know that I've been one of the first people to say that they will never charge Trump, but this speech makes me think that it is about to happen. I would be surprised if by this time next Friday there is not an announcement by the DOJ that they have issued an arrest warrant for Trump.
This speech can easily be seen as Biden was laying down the framework for why it is no longer in the nation's best interest to ignore Trump's crimes any more. That just because it might be seen as political it is essential to the survival of our democracy that no one, not even a President, be above the law.

Now, think for a moment. What all does artists entail? Shows and movies. What is a super important focus you should try to make inroads with? The next generation, and I don't mean Star Trek.

I've no idea, but I like that theory - very much hope it proves correct. Dealing with Trump as an individual isn't going to solve the US's massive structural problems, but it would be a positive sign that the country is prepared to make a start.

I was one of those who always criticized President Obama for refusing to take on those who disrespected his position, his family and his intelligence.
Obama was never weak. Just so high-minded and principled that he refused to lower himself to the depths of his most rancid haters.
This is why I admire Moonbeam’s post: He is saying what I have believed all along – that the Democrats need to stop running away from the cruelty and the nastiness of Trump supporters. They need to turn around and confront them. But not get in the mud with them.
I am please President Joe Biden has done this.
As Michelle Obama always responded in the face of vicious, unreasonable and cruel personal attacks against her, her husband and her children: “When they go low. We go high.”
Obama was one of the best the Democratic Party ever came up with. Who had his eloquence, soaring oratory, easily understood voice, his humor and the ease of comfort when he met with world leaders or factory workers? Obama always smiled. Biden tries to do the same. One thing about Biden, he cares. He displays empathy. It’s a shame his son, Hunter, plays on the edge of carelessness.
What Moonbeam said is what Democrats need to do: Start pushing back against the endless demonization of our character and intent. But intelligently.
Democrats are not trying to protect the uber-rich, the many tax cheats or the mean-spirited.
We Dems believe all have a place in this country. We get it wrong sometimes in our passion to protect the meek and innocent. But we can no longer afford to simply turn tail and run.
