But but POTUS said something in a speech! DoJ is probably mobilizing armed agents to go and disable oil rigs as we speak! Frankly, he wouldn't understand the dumbed-down crayons explanation either.

I'm really not sure how to explain to someone that an industry recording record profits is not in decline. An industry where if a cartel cuts production by a relatively small amount compared to overall production, can have such a profound effect around the world. Coal is nowhere in the conversation here. They literally cannot be used in the same sentence to be compared the way you are trying to. Not even the same paragraph or chapter. There are literally some midterm races so close that if gas prices continue to have gone down before Saudi Arabia decided to throw a monkey wrench before the midterms, could have come out differently. A lot of people voted just because gas prices started going up again and they blamed Biden. So yeah I think oil is not really a declining industry when it has such power over current events.

At some point I'll just have to have a kindergartener draw it in crayons for you if you are unable to understand a really simple point.

Never mind, you are obviously blinded by your bias.

Pretty sure what @pcgeek11 was saying is that oil will sooner or later be going down the same path as coal. And he's correct.

Having said that, the day the big oil companies and OPEC countries are reduced to insignificance is still a long way off no matter what the cost to the environment and the explanation is truly epic profits worthy of robber-barons.

Oh please.

He is talking about oil and nobody wants to invest in it now because it's like coal. Not about a far off future. He is correct about nothing because you are now putting words in his mouth.

It's just nonsense. Of course eventually clean energy will take over but that's so far away. So far. Coal is a shell of itself right now. And right now oil is as powerful as ever as we've seen from the war in the Ukraine and OPEC. They shouldn't be even mentioned in the same breath like he did. He in no way made a nuanced argument like you are seemingly attempting to do.

By what PC geek posted he in no way was implying anything you are trying to defend him with. He was merely flooding the zone with shit, Just like a good GQP. That's pretty much all he does here.
