Isn't it obvious? References to Obama's middle name, however slight, help the far right feel justified in their opposition. It's hard to be filled with righteous indignation over a guy with an inspiring story of his rise to the top of a major US political party, but it's easy when you remind yourself that he has a scary and other-worldly name.

Yeah, these diversions by BHO supporters about initials is silly. Their notion that if you use "H" it's racist or trying to say he's a terrorist or some other such nonsense. It does one thing though - it derails threads....

What's strange to me is that even though you've had numerous different people tell you that they think you're trying to make a backhanded attack on Obama, you continue to use it. If you are genuinely interested in keeping threads on topic, why not just use his normal initials? Then you wouldn't have to worry about it.
