I would like to thank Joe and his minions for the increase in my wife and my Social Security of 8.7%. Also the same increase of my retired military pay of 8.7%.

LOL

"Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden's leadership," the White House tweeted Monday.

The tweet was accompanied by a note from Twitter that states "readers added context" that "Seniors will receive a large Social Security benefit due to the annual cost of living adjustment, which is based on the inflation rate."

Don't these people even bother looking at what everybody knows that SS and Military retirement payments are linked to Inflation and the Cost Of Living.
So by using Biden's own logic, It should be called the "Putin's Social Security increase" since inflation seems to be Russia's fault. C'mon man because doesn't know where y'all been. Got damn, boy!

Thank you President… Nixon? Pretty hilarious that you have to go all the way back to Tricky Dicky to find a Republican who didn’t want to fuck over Social Security or other entitlements.

I didn't say that Joe Biden has caused a global inflation crisis. He did however with his massive spending drive the inflation up in a huge way in the US.

What you're trying to convince everyone is that massive spending doesn't contribute to inflation? There a quite a few economist that will disagree with you.

You can keep you worthless insults they have no effect on me. It only defines your own character.

How do you feel about his admin lying about the source of the SS pay raise?
You are such a jerk and your stupidity is grating. Functionally illiterate, evidently and your arguments are tail wagging the dog. Why don't you troll somewhere else, somewhere it might do some good? Troll your grocery store for charging you more for a gallon of milk.

Considering Republicans have flat-out stated they want to cut SS and Medicare, you should probably be personally thanking every single Biden voter for saving you from your Trump vote.

If they did that they’d have to give up their title of biggest hypocrites.

I definitely would’ve been ok with adjusting SS for COL and INFL during 2016-2020. The money people are expected to survive on is dismal considering how long they’ve potentially paid into it.

Did Biden (when VP or in his previous career - he's been in politics for a very long time, after all) have any part in linking SS payments to inflation? That's the only way I could imagine such a claim for credit would have validity (though in that case it _would_ be a legitimate claim). Otherwise it's not actually an 'increase' in any case, it's just staying the same in real terms.

Here the "triple lock" (pensions rising in line with whichever is the larger of price-inflation, pay-inflation or 2.5%) is a very big deal for the Conservatives, who depend on the pensioner vote and so need to keep them happy.

But even that might be for the chop in their latest round of austerity. They really have thoroughly messed-up the economy - after 12 years in power, including a decade of austerity, mismanaging COVID, and then Truss's catastrophic budget, sorry "fiscal event" (more like "fisting event") and everything is now crap. Yet they constantly talk as if all the problems we are facing are some mysterious act-of-nature and nothing to do with them, even though THEY'VE BEEN IN POWER FOR 12 YEARS. That's after they previously blamed Gordon Brown for the effects of the GLOBAL financial crash.

I don't understand how they get away with this deception. Being right-wing means never having to take responsibility for anything you do, apparently.

Link to your posts bitching about Trump taking all the credit for stimulus checks, I'll wait.

Thank you, President Biden.

A right wing Republican would have tried to lower the COLA or otherwise downgrade it.

Republicans are already running on raising taxes on the middle class and cutting Social Security. At least one major person (Lee) is running on abolishing Social Security entirely.

Drinking and posting is a bad combo. Even for YOU, this is entirely non-sensical.

No, it’s been indexed to inflation for a long time. That being said, Republicans are trying to change the inflation calculation so beneficiaries get less.

Yet, the AARP membership will over whelmingly vote for them because of "crime" and the terrible economy where anyone with a pulse can get a job.
