I just got a pretested Celery 566 OC to 1004Mhz, The thing is, it needs 1.9 to do the 1GHz dance. The Highest voltage I can pick is 1.7v's. When I had my 300a, I could pick voltage all the way up to 2.3v's.

What gives here?
Using QN BIOS.

Thanks a lot.

I dont know what's giving... but I do know your bios will detect a new celermine and will automatically default to the default voltage of that cpu which is 1.5v. Now there is a bios trick that you can do to trick your board into increasing the voltages that are availible.

It only lets you pick a voltage +/- 15% I believe. I needed 1.8v with my celery and I had a abit converter thingy and just set the jumpers on that for 1.8, then the bh6 saw 1.8v as the default so I can go +/- 15% of that. You can also set it to 1.7v, then flash it and 1.7v becomes the defualt and you can go up to like 2.0 I think... forgot how it works. YOu needed to do that to get p2s to 2.4v

Ok, I tried flashing the BIOS when I set it to 1.7v's.
But that didnt allow me to go any higher, when I finished flashing the BIOS.

Also, I tried changing the voltage on my Iwill Slocket II, but that didnt change my voltage either.

Any other ways to make the voltage go any higher??

Thanks

I'm having the same problem SuperKen is. I have an abit BH6 a 566 celery and a alpha peltier setup. The chip is running great 850 at 1.65 with turbo I know it can do higher it almost loads windows at 952 with 1.70 volts but usally locks up right before it gets in. I tried flashing the bios with the volts set to 1.7 but it didn't work it keeps using 1.50 as default. I have the abit slokett so when I read this thread and Becks said just set the sloketts voltage to 1.70 and it will use that as default. I ripped my computer apart and set it to 1.70 on the slotkett. Nothing it still says 1.5 as default. I'm really getting pissed I know it can do higher it justs needs more voltage.

Hey, I just flashed it to the LN BIOS. A Bios that doesnt recognize the new Coppermine/Celermine cores.

I can choose 1.8v's now.

Chilling at 952 as we speak!

(too bad i have to set CAS latency to 3, instead of 2 now)
