Your not alone. I wonder if there's a support group we could join, like "Upgraders Anonimous" or something. 😛

Where is the warehouse in IL? I want to get it on Fri. I am thinking about what shipping method I should choose. $30 Tax is alot. :| But the total price online is still cheaper than the price with tax in store for $40.

Fastest delivery ever! ordered it last night... got it this morning 🙂

I paid tax and the extra $2 for overnight delivery, but I still think it's a great deal since it's BFG brand. And the retail box is unopened and in good order.

Thanks Hot Deals!

I'm from IL. Ordered this last night and it's in Chicago this morning. Should get it by tonight. I used overnight shipping. It's not that much more compared to the standard..

ordered one this morning by 2nd day delivery. Hope it will arrive tm.

It is too late to change the shipping method 🙁 Anyone can tell me the ohio warehouse address?
I want to check the distance from the warehouse to my house.

Sweet deal, jumped on it with CHEAP overnight. ($11, but still, for $4 more it's worth it). Now to sell my evga 6800 vanilla.... wonder if my roommate's interested 🙂

I have a Ti9200 256MB GF4 overclocked to Ti9600 speeds and it plays Doom3 pretty well (no choppyness)at medium resolution. I've been having trouble finding a comparison of the Ti9600 to the 6800 GT. Anyone know what kind of improvement I'd see from a GF4 Ti9600?

The last video card I paid over $150 for was the Diamond Viper V770 ultra 🙂 for $250 long ago and I promised myself I'd never spend so much for a video card again.

I'm thinking I'll stick to that plan for now and just be envious of this card. I know I'm missing some DirectX9 benefits but I figure I'll just play Doom 3 again a year hence with better hardware and experience the full funness at that time. Also, if Doom3 was any more realistic I might easily be scared to death. 🙂 Doom3 does seem like a good reason to upgrade now though..

I got the same email cancellation message.. I called them, and they said the item was no longer in stock. (I had places my order online around 11:00am EST) Bummer!!

A 6800GT will be probably >4x faster than any GF4. (The 5800U/9700P gen was 2x faster than a 4600 with AA+AF, and the 6800GT gen is 2x faster than the 5800U/9700P one.) But, judging by your video card, you probably don't have a CPU fast enough to let a GT fully stretch its legs. I think a 2.4GHz/2500+ CPU will be sufficient to feed a GT, though, and you can always move the GT into a new MB when you upgrade to an Athlon 64.

I got mine today. A little noisier than my 9600+Silencer, but dang nice performance boost. Mines also been nice and cool so far.

Anyone run coolbits on their card?

When I run detect optimal frequencies I get Core 395 and Mem 1.04

These seem a little low. I know many people run these at Ultra speeds. I tried running mine at 404 and 1.10 and get slight artifacts and occasional lockups in Doom.

Thats what I get too, this 2nd revision blows imo. Im getting lower marks than people are with the same system

Do you think it is the new cooling? Or lesser ram/ core quality?

Thanks Pete, Wow 4x faster.. that sounds like a worthy improvement. My Ti9600 equivalent is running on an almost 3000+ equivalent overclocked AthlonXP on 1 GB low latency ram so the rest of my system is ready for a new card. It's just the money variable that remains. Thanks a lot for the speed comparison.

Don't mean to be rude but I couldn't stand you calling it a GF4 Ti9600 any longer....it's a 4200.

Oh and this deal is dead, at least off the side. The 6800NU is still there for 249.99
