BF4 CPU usage

Intel. Most likely they stopped the project Havok had with AMD as they want to keep physics on the CPU. The more CPU limited games are, the more reason to buy the latest and greatest. If Larrabee had ever come to fruition on the desktop it might have been brought forth as a competitor to PhysX, but it just didn't work out.

Intel has been improving their iGPU far faster than their CPU. Running OpenCL Havok on the iGPU and leaving the dGPU free for graphics would be an excellent way to sell people on Haswell.

Same here, I'm pulling high 20's low 30's with a 3.6ghz PII and a 7950. My 7950 is pulling about 70% usage with the PII crying at 100% with 1080p Ultra. I just downloaded Win 8.1 preview last night and plan on trying it out to see how much improvement there is.

Let us know please!

Those above charts look about right,my 770 at 768p still dips into the 40s in certain spots with my i5 2500 non k.gpu usage doesn't touch 99% period or anything near it so it's processor all the way.

This beta has been pretty damn demanding, quickest way to drag a $400 card into low fps land at 768p is applying a 200% scale resolution and its often hitting the 30s....the right settings and really the term overkill can't really be applied in this game to any single card at any resolution above 1280x720.

Would also be interesting to see how OC'ing only core 0 or 1 would help if this is the bottlenecking core.
