Anybody with the 5.1-5.6 CCC installed, do you get texture corruption or does your AA not work? I know that there is a problem with texture corruption, but AA to?

Can you see if AA works for you if it isn't too much trouble?

Also do people start to lag in FPS after a few rounds and have to restart?

Can you give me some examples of texture corruption?

I'm running 5.6's on my X800XL and AA doesn't work, but its especially noticable on the lines drawn onto the deck of the aircraft carrier. Same thing was happening with the 5.5's, so I installed the 5.6's. I've got AA and AF enabled in the driver, but AA is still definately not there. Don't know about AF though.

Sometimes the clips of the MG's don't display fully when releoding. And the shadows can sometimes looks like a chess board because of squares/triangles displaying.

Isn't it nice that you get a lovely demo that should work because the game is done and has gone Gold?

I've got the shadows issues. They are terribly boxy on the outside. And now that I think of it, I remember the artilery gun looking really weird, quite possibly because of texture corruption. Haven't used an MG yet though.

I'll have to check that too. So far I haven't been able to play a few rounds at a time, the game keeps crashing or booting me before I'm able to get that far :|

No difference at all. While there's no artifacting, the jaggies are just as bad as they were before.

i find that alt-tabbing in and out of the game fixes the chess board effect in some games...

I tried alt-tabbing; ended up having to quit the game, the whole thing froze.

dayum 🙁

that works for me in some games when it happens, i'm still 2.5 hours away from having the demo tho 🙁

The demo works fine on my 9600XT. I am using DNA drivers though, not the official CAT drivers. So far so good. No corruption. If any of you guys gotan NVIDIA card, tell me how that goes since I ahve one also, but am currently replacing the heatsink material with a copper one 🙂

In testing the demo, EA has encountered some visual issues on certain ATI cards with the previous Catalyst drivers (5.5) and are working with yesterday's 5.6 release to discover if the issue is resolved. If in playing the Battlefield 2 demo you encounter texture corruption of any kind, we recommend rolling back to the Catalyst 5.1 drivers. ATI is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it.

My MSI 6600 GT is running BF2 very well without any problems at all, the v77.30 drivers are working very well. I will probably be playing BF2 bug free on my new Geforce 7800 long before ATI has sorted out the bugs with BF2. lol 😉

Ill share how to get it very fast, I wont be greedy.

Go here, http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile...22&package_id=141780&release_id=306907 Download and install that, takes about 30 seconds.

Then paste this link into it; http://www.gamespot.com/cgi/chkpt.php?s...battlefield2/Battlefield_2_Demo_GC.zip

It should then max out your download speeds. I got it in about 16 mins.

5.6's are working without coruption for me. So is AA. I wish they would get off their butts and have a real WS res.

edit, AA does work for me. I had it forced thru control panel, and forgot I did. I changed it to app preference, and selected it in the game, and it worked fine.

Impossible! ATi drivers are flawless!

Edit: Very nice ackmed, that truedownloader works great! Maxing out at 190KB/sec (theoretical max of my DSL line).

Bah no AA here. I hope ATI release a BETA driver for this issue like when HL2 and D3 came out and needed fixing.....

Do you have app preference in the drivers, and AA selected in the game? Works for me that way with the 5.6's.

LOL i was just about to post that now (found out on rage3d). Yeah AA works fine for me now with AA set to App preference in CCC and the 4x in game. And be sure to be using the 5.6's with the demo, later versions as stated above may be having issues.
