Bezels?

I recently purchased a case ("as is") and the front bezel is damaged... the pieces that screw into the metal case... well some of them are broken off and gluing them with superglue isn't feasible.

So my question is... does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes or ships bezels?

Your best bet is to contact the case manufacture.

You may well be better of buying a whole new case.

There is a little plastic repair kit called Plastix made by Loctite Corp. that will glue about any kind of plastic you can name including polyethylene, that should do the trick for you. Check your local hardware store.

Also, if Directron carries the case in question, you can often order the spare part from them. Search in their forums for the order number info. I believe they charge $10.00.

Couple of comments:

I'd consider another "as is" case but it depends on what I was building it for. The computer I'm assembling (or rather re-assembling) didn't need an expensive case so this one that cost me $21 was perfect, even with the bezel in the condition that it was in. (it wasn't as if the bezel was cracked in the front, or otherwise damaged... it was just somewhat loose and that was kind of annoying.)

I figured that with the number of different cases available, that somewhere someone might/must sell bezels since what is the point of getting a whole new case if you just want to change the front of the case? It makes no sense to me to limit people like that. Evidently I was wrong. Oh well.

If you have computer shows in the area, check them out; there's usually a few vendors that have nothing but cases - they usually have some really cheap ones. Just look at it good inside and out; they almost have to cut corners somewhere to make it cheap. It might mean a funky mounting system, razor-sharp edges, and usually a really cheap(crappy) power supply.
