The thread's title is funny because I've thought about getting a nice car's body and putting it in my basement and then making that large area my room. I've wanted to get an old Corvette convertible, restore it so that it looks nice even if it doesn't run and put it in my basement.
I would be seriously looking into this, but it's a HUGE PITA. After talking with some people, the best solution would be to have the car split up into 2 or 3 pieces and put down there, then have it all put together and painted there as well. I guess I should have done this when the house was being built
Oh well, maybe something in the future? The area in the basement is rather large and has lots of space so it would fill up half of the room very nicely leaving the other half for a bed, computer, desk, etc.
