LOL funny because it's true.

And I was REALLY tempted to pick the Rockies. DAMN that was a good game last night.

I agree though, the Seahawks got shafted in the Superbowl.

I concur.

So we can atleast agree that it will be Dallas vs Seattle in the NFC Championship.

I would say they look like the best two teams so far, yes.

Don't say that in Wisconsin though.

Want to hear something else that is funny? I stuck through the game till the 13th inning and had to go to bed after the Pads scored two in the 13th. I wanted the Rockies to win so bad for all their hard work and I couldnt just wait just half an inning.....

They are far and away the best 2 teams in the NFL right now. I have to believe that if they played NOW on a nuetral field that the Pats would win....and I hate the Pats. That being said, a lot can happen before the playoffs so we will see.

Yeah, but harrison is close to taking the dirt nap. what is he, like 35. He's done hit his peak.

as far as the pats go, god I hate that frickin coach of theirs. I wish some player would take his ass out. I don't know why I feel that way, but I do. Brady, I wish he'd get hit hard. But his O line is definitely not going to let that happen. It'd be interesting to see him on another team that has a piss poor O-line. I bet he wouldn't put up the numbers anywhere near what he has behind the pat's oline.

Keep in mind guys, the unbeatable team last year was the Colts. Who gave them their first loss? Cowboys.

I'm not saying the Cowboys are as good as the Pats. But, if they can get pressure on the quarterback, and if Terrence Newman is healthy - that defense may be able to cause problems for Brady. I think the Cowboys offense can handle the Pats D. Romo looks so calm/controlled, its hard to believe he's only in his second season as a starter.

Of course, Im a die hard Cowboys fan, so Im a bit biased.

What matters is who makes it to the final game, not week 4 speculation. Last season, the Chargers were the best team in the NFL recordwise (14-2 IIRC), but how did they do in the Super Bowl?

That said, the Pats and Colts (and perhaps the Cowboys) could play each other all year and wind up with similar records. A key injury, a dropped pass, a missed tackle, etc alone in a single game could determine its outcome.

Dallas had one bad game in their first game because two of their bigger defensive contributors weren't playing (Terrance Newman and Greg Ellis). With both of them playing now, they're looking good so far.

Sure, they haven't played any real decent teams yet, but it's not like the patriots have either. I really do think that the Cowboys deserve to be in the top of the power rankings, and I'm pretty confident the Cowboys can make the Patriots game close, possibly even beat them.

When? During the regular season?

I think I'd take that bet regardless, but the reality is both teams are very, very good and I'm of the opinion that it's pretty much a toss-up and whoever comes up with one big play.

If you think it's a toss up then you shouldn't "take that bet regardless" unless he is offering better than 1:1 odds, which he isn't.

Pats wins:
Jets: 1-3 (their only win is against the 0-4 Miami Dolphins)
Chargers: 1-3 (their only win is against the 1-3 Bears)
Bills: 1-3 (their only win is against the 0-4 Miami Dolphins)
Bengals: 1-3 (this would be a quality win would it have been last year or the year before, the Bengals defense is worse than ever - which it is usually one of the worst in the league, and their offense is having some problems - which is the only thing this team has ever had to lean on)

They haven't played a real team yet.

Yes, I know it is still early to be proclaiming these losses as insignificant, but the teams they have beaten have yet to show me they'll do anything but suck this year and the Pats have yet to show me they're anything more than the Pats of any other year should they have had this ridiculously easy schedule up until now. Peyton Manning and the Colts have had the Pats' number the past two years and I have yet to see anything that would convince me things have changed. Obviously when those two teams play we'll know for sure, but I'm not ready to be one of the sheep willing to declare them superbowl winners before mid season hits.

I wouldn't say the colts have had their number. The AFC Championship game was really affected by the injuries on the Patriots' defense. By the end there they were starting basically their practice squad defense which certainly facilitated the Colt's comeback.

Isn't he offering 1:1 odds? Plus, I'm a sucker and a Pats fan.

If it's a toss up, 50% chance you win. And he is offering 1:1 on your money, so there is a 50% chance you will double your money. This is a bad bet based on odds. In the long run you will come out even (should that is). So why would you bet money to come out even?

If he was offering 2:1 odds then you can say, okay I risk $200 and I will get $300 ($200 + $100). That's a good bet if the chances of you winning are 50%, since you will more than doubly your money. In the long run you would be able to make a lot of money that way, since for each win (50% of the time) you get $300, and each loss (50% of the time) you only lose $100.

In the 1:1 scenario you make $100 half the time and lose $100 half the time.

We all saw just how deficient the Pat's WR's were in last years AFCC. So Moss,
Stallworth, and Welker are a major upgrade from last season. The untold story
(to me) about the Colts is the stellar play of their OL. Never got the credit they
deserved for their role in last year's run. Before, the Colts were one dimensional
but with JA and that OL playing at a high level they can grind too. I'm chomping at the
bit for the Colts/Pats re-match!! go Pats!!

I have trouble seeing anybody match up well with the Pats so far this year. It's still damn early, and things can change so fast.

On the other subject, I think the 'hawks will take the cowboys in the playoffs. I definitely don't think they've regressed from last year - the offense could be among the tops in the NFL in a few weeks.

I beleive the Bills win came against the Jets.
