that's not why abbott has ramped up inspections.

to the GOP, every teacher is a pedophile and everyone crossing the border is a coyote.
Thanks for the link and from a trusted source too !

Only the teachers that engage in sexual activities with children are pedophiles. Are you making the claim that it doesn't happen ? Only the smugglers that illegally help and are paid to bring illegal aliens across our borders, sometimes to be sex trafficked are coyotes. Are you making the claim that that isn't happening? No , no you're not because you know they both happen all too frequently and you support it by turning a blind eye to it.

You are an idiot that doesn't have a clue about what you're talking about.
Damn you are really good.

Gov Abbott didn't ignore upgrading a deficient electrical grid?
700 people didn't die during a winter storm when that same grid lost power?

Are you either insane, stupid or a master troll. It could only be one of those and none of the choices should make you proud.

Why would you have a problem with Texas inspecting Mexican and South American trucks driving on our highways and freeways? Do you really trust the standards that those south of the border maintain their equipment?
Have you looked around? Do you see how well many American's maintain their equipment? Are you really that fucking stupid? oh wait.... I forgot... You are! My bad!

If he bothers to look up how factories that mass produce a product do inspections. Statistics are used to select how many to inspect. Inspecting every single item is generally not cost effective and less accurate.

Here's another prime example of what James Carville describes as "Democrats love fighting losing battles."
Not fighting the losing battles is why Republicans have taken over the vast majority of local and state governments.

They would have taken over those positions anyway. Waste of time and money that could have gone to other campaigns.

Like, do we really think Beto "hell yes we're taking your AR-15" has a chance at all in Texas? Need to cut these losses.

Glad to know you have zero issues with blatantly lying.

Also, brown outs are not due to an issue with an electrical grid IE the infrastructure that supplies the electricity to the areas buildings, but rather, lack of enough electricity to supply the demand.

I don't know about Beto. I cant see enough Texans voting for him. He's kinda like a young RFK type but not enough GW Bush swagger. Texans like swagger. He should have easily beaten Cruz but he failed. Id rather he taken down Cruz.

Better post a link for that, Fibby McLiar

"A data analysis performed by BuzzFeed News estimates there were 702 deaths from Winter Storm Uri in Texas in February, nearly five times higher than the state’s official death toll of 151. "

Buzzfeed is the only group that puts the claim at @700, all other go from 150 to 250 directly and indirectly being caused by the extreme cold.

Having lived in Colorado where every 95 year old fart shoveling his driveway to drunk guys crashing because of blizzard conditions, i don't put much credence in the indirect numbers.

I'm almost surprised they didn't include those Texan deaths as deaths by Covid.

An Analysis of Buzzfeeds research. As I suspected Texas low balled their estimate. Not surprised at another Republican Governor using Kremlin like propoganda to hide their failures
State officials low-balled the number of deaths, according to the report

The low ball from Abbot the liar is 151. Who believes him? I'll take the independent research.

Go read this investigation into the real death toll from the Texas freeze - The Verge

Buzzfeed was the only outlet that disagreed of all the media outlets that followed and reported on the story. It's not "independent research" when it's politically biased....................which we all know buzzfeed is.

"Today is a historic day, where two governors are showing how to lead on border issues," Abbott said during a press conference in Laredo, Texas, with Sepulveda beside him.
Abbott explained because the agreement calls for increased security on the Mexican side of the border to prevent illegal immigration, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) can return to its previous practice of random truck checks on the bridge from Nuevo Leon to Texas effective immediately.
"It will remain this way as long as Nuevo Leon abides by this agreement," Abbott said at a news conference with Nuevo Leon Gov. Samuel Garcia.
Abbott also said he has been contacted by the governor of every state in Mexico bordering Texas.
"Until those agreements are reached with those states, DPS will continue to inspect [trucks] in every state except Nuevo Leon," Abbott said.
The White House had criticized Abbott on Wednesday and blamed his enhanced inspections for causing supply chain disruptions."

If the cocksuckers in the white house and the biden administration won't help to fix the crisis, Texas will find another way.

The crisis that Abbott manufactured by inspecting every truck, you mean?

Or the humanitarian crisis that is migration of central and south american peoples to the United States on account of our failed drug wars and attempts to prop up pro-US leaders in their countries? Cause that one has a loooooong history

So Abott caves on inspections. We need someone not weak and wishy washy on border issues. Another reason to vote for Beto.

He had to since he was taking heat from other Rs that he was fucking up trade (and risking related $$$ from people who donate to them). Mexican governors agree to a little theater to let him back down and everything gets back to normal. He needed Mexicans to help him out of the hole he dug for himself.
