So I went to BB today on an assumption that the $90 free ram & install coupon would work. I asked an associate who said that it was Valid and honored, but the ram was not under $90. When asked, And was confirmed, The ram was indeed, 200 or as the retail tricksters say, 199.99, for 512 mb of pc 2700 laptop or pc3200 desktop. I asked him if there was anything under 100, to which was the reply of, yes, 256 mb pc 100 sometimes. If I'm not mistaken, one can get 512mb for say 50 or so at the egg, and if anyone knows how to make toast, install can waive the 30 fee that bb charges. Anywho, I was appaled as I was under the impression that It was Free, as stated.
However, the horror did not end. Upon exiting the store, I ran into a coustomer/ best buy employee conversation which I felt obligated to save. The guy was asking the rep if a gamecube would play a dvd, And I was thinking, hey, Arent they mini dvd's? So, I asked him and he said He wanted movies, whilst the bb rep was plastering away, informing him he needed the bundle (2 games, and the cables) Talked 'im out of that one, and the guy started to glare, but as I look at it, It's better than what happened the other time we went.
My friend's mom was in the market for a digicam. Whoop te do. Sadly, my friend and I were at borders, had we been there with his mom, She would not have spent the price of the camera in accesories as well as an extended warranty.
Last but not least, was when I inquired about the mp3 players playing ogg vorbis. I politley asked the rep about mp3 players, then i stated my needs, however, I asked if any could play ogg and he never heard of it. Not to say he might have been sapped or not an audiophile to torment, which was not my intention, but a simple inquiry, btut rather, if it says so on the package upon inspection and he failed to either read up, which i do not blame sience best buy says that a graphics card is high end with 16 megs of memory, I just find it interesting that in best buy, a supposed electronics store, that they have a trifle assisting coustomers with cash not on thier knoggins.
