Best wicking shirt for summer?

I'm forced to wear a plain gray t-shirt made out of shit material every morning when I run.

Is there a wicking shirt I can wear under it that would work in high heat and humidity? More so, is there one that's better than another?

I was thinking a couple of these because they offer military discount.

I would go with a loose fitting dri-fit sleeveless shirt or singlet.

Something like this.

Personally, I love the Hanes "Perfect T" t-shirts, but they're a bit pricey, and not always easy to find. Good blended fabric, breathes well, and very soft.

Alone - any of the tight fitting wicking shirts will work well for your purposes. I'm not sure how far you're running but it will be hotter and you'll be carrying extra weight on top. My ex did all her runs (and extra distance after morning PT) in the standard Army grey, but on the weekend long runs, would go with any decent wicking tee.

I usually run anywhere between 5 and 10KM. I'm running 21KM in September.

I'll give one of the shirts a chance and see how it feels. Thank!

I've worn a lot of shirts from different brands. None ever seem to fit perfectly. Underarmor seems to be the best bet for short sleeve stuff and you can find them reasonably priced in sales and whatnot. For long sleeve shirts, Brookes always seems to have the longest sleeves which is usually my biggest complaint.

That's true on the different brands. In Alone's case - I think he's req to wear his PT shirt around on base. I think the compression/tight stuff would work better under it, (like UA HeatGear or Nike Pro) versus the looser, actual running stuff. I tend to go shirtless as much as possible, weather permitting, so shirt fitment is not an issue for me most of the time. 😉 The long sleeve stuff - I tend to fit well into a Small, any brand. Sleeves aren't much of a concern as if it's cold enough for a long sleeve, it's prob cold enough for gloves.

I love the UA shirts, but after about 4 miles nothing works for me, I have to run shirtless because my nipples chafe like a motherfucker.

No need for anything special. Go to Target, I have bought a lot of wicking shirts from there. They hold up well and are very cheap. This is their "target brand" sports wear. It's really not bad. I've put years of running into some of the shorts and they are holding up beautifully. If your shirt is not form fitting you may get a nipple chafe, so put a bandaid on each nip first.

Small circle bandaids FTW!

Most of my shirts don't cause me to nipple chafe...but I have a few that do. For any long run (over a half marathon) in any shirt, I spread a little anti-chafe wax (the stuff that looks like deodorant). Never have an issue once I do that. For marathons I slather that stuff all over the place. Nipples, where my sleeve on my arm meets my side, sack to leg surfaces, and toes/heel. Works like magic.
