Best way to transfer large information to another computer over internet?

I need to transfer like 1 gig worth of stuff from one computer to another over the internet. What is the fastest and most reliable way to do it. Both computers are connect to broadband too.

Thanks for the help.

I don't know .. I would just FTP it (you would have to set up an FTP server on one of the computers).

yeah, i'd setup an ftp server real quick on one machine and then just ftp it over.. of course, if yer using broadband and yer upstream sucks, then it'll take a long time.

ftp is the only way, I don't think 1gig of storage space is going to be cheap.

connect directly and transfer it. like use aim or something. Geez. why bother setting up a temporary ftp server.

I agree, AIM isn't too hard to do, i've done over 5 gigs over aim before.

I don't know why the first few responses said FTP. I think AIM is a lot easier if you're just sending it to one person.

aim's no good. if one of the peeps has a router aim is retarded.

ftp probably only surefire way. tutorial probably needed though.
