Your health will go to hell in a handbasket, and you will have achieved your goal.
That's BS. Doesn't work.
Yeah, I've been doing exactly that for several years now and I'm still ~140lbs @ 6'. :(

How old are you?

Well by the time you reach 25 ish and by the lastest of 30yrs your body will be slowing down. And unless you do some physical activity you WILL PUT ON WEIGHT. Just that your body has a high metabolism at the moment. BUT IT WILL slow down and you will gain weight by the time you reach 28-32 UNLESS you exercise and watch what you eat.

If you don't count yourself lucky you won't be fat. Or rather overweight as you see a lot of guys that are thin but have pot belly's lol.

Gravity made a good point about SLEEP. You need it. 8hrs min it should be a night. Drink loads of beer also. Pretty useless calories for your system and sodas etc but in the long run the sodas are not too great for your teeth.

Got to train properly.

If your only working upper body it will struggle to pack on 20lbs.

If you work your legs and back hard you will gain much faster.

SQUAT SQUAT AND MORE SQUAT. You will pack on weight fast. Deadlift also and work on compound stuff for a solid 8months then switch it up later. But this will depend on how advanced you are.

I always tell new people to stick with:

Squat
Deadlift
Clean and Jerk (well if you want to learn to lift properly and don't mind learning technique)
Bench Press,
Pull ups,
Wide grip pull ups,
Dips
Bent forward rows,
Incline sit ups and with weights later
Hyper extensions
Bulk offs
Variety of Gymnastic conditioning

Squat 3x a week,
Bench 1x a week,
Clean and Jerk 2x a week
and pick the other exerises so you about 5 exercises a session.

ALWAYS end on back or ab work.

The rest is up to you.

And go join www.geekfitness.com as I said so and because I am a mod there :p

You need to eat everything in sight. During the summer I gained 20 pounds from lifting heavy weights, eating a hell of a lot, and drinking shakes.

I'll be 21 at the end of March. But yeah, I've been thinking I should probably start getting some exercise.

sorry but I think you meant to respond to the thread entitled "Best way to die?"

There was a story in the paper up here a few years ago about a guy that eats NOTHING but Big Macs. Every meal is a Big Mac. He even keeps some in his freezer in the event that he can't make it to a McDonalds for a meal. And he's completely healthy. :Q

<-- first hand experience for many years into mid 20s...

 Cheater, you got a G/f... that means you get at least SOME exercise ;)

The first statement is true, just lay around, eat anything (carbs mostly) and resist doing physical activity
