It would alos be better if you grouped by type, then pitted the winners of types off against one another. Super Mario Bros III Vs Super Mario Kart? they can't really be compaired. Same with Super Mario Bros and Pac Man. It should be something like Pac Man Vs Pong and the winner of that match should go against the winner of Tetris and Space Invaders

Agreed. What the hell does X-Com have to do with Half-Life? Completely different game types. You'd be better served to put X-Com with Fallout. Thats just one example.
 
Quake 2 STILL rules, and has a very active online following. Many cool servers all under one main server portal:

www.tastyspleen.net

or

just fire up Quake2 and connect to "tastyspleen.net". You'll be in the "Mutant" server for starters. Just type "Goto" at the console prompt, and you'll see a list of the other servers you can be transported to. For example, type:

goto dm (and be transported to the active DM server)

or

goto vanilla (and be transported to the vanilla server)

or just

goto

and see the entire list and who's playing.

Suggest you download the maps at tastyspleen.net before just going there, because there's quite a few custom maps.

I loved Civ1..I loved Civ2..heck I licked almost all civs including Colinization! Even with all of the games I have liked that have spawned from the likes of sid meirs..I hated alpha centauri..that was a horrible game.'

I remember how it went down. I get pcgamer every month(best pc mag ever)and they had a reivew for it. THey gave it some crazy score of like 96 or something...i think HL1 the best game ever rated by pcgamer is like a 98 i believe.(prob wrong by now).

Went out the store...got it right away..played it..thought it sucked..and i didnt just play it a little..I gave it all the chances it could.

I dont know why..I guess its just me..

Quake2: aweosme single player, awesome awesome multi with awesome CTF mods and rocket arena..

q2 l-fire ctf is still the best ctf ever.
