Hell if I know.

A full wax like that has lots of drawbacks. Ingrown hairs, itches like hell, hurts like hell.

Put on a guard and shave it down to 1/4 inch and you can get quick, cheap, and miss all those drawbacks.

As long as you put on the stuff they give you everyday after you shower, you should be good with the ingrown hairs. And the growing back is not NEARLY as bad as if you shaved--talk about ingrown hairs. Plus, it's nice being completely smooth--I have very sensitive skin, and that's not only applied to my face/legs.

Well a complete shave is pretty bad, but a close trim isn't at all.

In fact, the problems from shaving mostly come from irritation. Try using a good aloe vera heavy shave lotion and don't go over the spot too many times.

Clippers with a guard for the larger areas, and a personal trimmer of the same length is a deadly efficient combo. It is such a smooth cut that if you are skilled you don't even need a lotion and get no irritation.

edit: Oh and the expense of a wax is just ridiculous in my opinion, compared to a nice trim. But I'm not one to tell anybody how to spend their money. :)

That sounds like a good idea...how much are those? I'm super broke, but I bet it wouldn't be more than what I'd be spending on waxes every few months.

I don't know the exact one to recommend, but I think this one looks awesome, has five length settings, a plucking add on, eyebrow micro trimmer, a micro shaver to go easy on the skin, and an eyebrow comb.

http://www.amazon.com/Bliss-Ph...&qid=1246422190&sr=8-1

edit: Plus some extras.

"Personal trimmer with six attachments (precision trimmer, precision comb, epilator, micro shaver, micro trimmer, eyebrow comb), bliss ingrown hair eliminating peeling pad (1), bliss lemon+sage body butter (1 oz.), Bliss-Philips beauty bag."

Dear god, please don't let this thread be on the front page for another 2 weeks.
Mods, you may as well make it sticky right now.

Listen, a close trim is more than sufficient for everyday activities. I'd be very satisfied to deal with that kind of due diligence on a regular basis.

But a total wax takes it up to 11.

Just sayin'.

Dangit, if I wanted to read girly stuff like this, I certainly wouldn't be hanging out on ATOT.

Could Wolverine borrow his GF's intimate shaver to do his beard if he was out of blade replacements?

I didn't think he replaced his adamantium blades...

It's your choice. Stop procrastinating in this feminine thread, unless you really do like girly stuff and are just pretending not to...

PS. Chuck Norris' beard is much more masculine ;)

Who let you out of the thread your cousin started? These cages are terrible.

See, this is what we get for buying Chinese. I told the contractors that the steel would be no better than the rotten drywall, but no one listened.

What, did the steel release toxic gases too?

No, they just fucking disintegrated. Smelled like rotten bananas I hear.

Nasty as all hell.

WHEN WILL YOU REALIZE, CHINA?!

We can't even use this as a gimp cage anymore. Fucking shame really.

I know, right? I was really hoping that we could maybe even try them out in P&N. There goes that idea....

P&N? P&N gnaws on steel for breakfast.

phhttt... P&N just likes to THINK they can gnaw on steel for breakfast

I'm pretty sure the cage had too much lead in it. That could cause some major issues.

Thus...P&N.

Forget lead, I'm thinking something radioactive.
