I've generally heard good things about some yellow/hard wax, but others swear by a soft wax. What's the difference? Is it for more sensitive skin or something?

Also, what do you look for when you go into a salon to get waxed? I've noticed that a lot of people don't care if the person double dips the wax, or if it isn't super clean, etc etc.

One time I had a lady purell her hands, and then proceed to rub baby powder all down there with her BARE HANDS, and then use really bad wax and tried double dipping the wax before I finally told her to cut that shit out and wear gloves.

Any other bad experiences? Thoughts? Suggestions for someone with really really über sensitive skin?

Is this the wrong place for this kind of question? I'm still a newb

I don't know what makes you braver - getting those waxes or posting this question on ATOT.

Either way, I salute you.

See, this is what we get for buying Chinese. I told the contractors that the steel would be no better than the rotten drywall, but no one listened.

Good gawd, who would subject themselves to something like that? I'm female and I'm no opponent to keeping oneself neat but that's too much pain for beauty, IMO.

phhttt... P&N just likes to THINK they can gnaw on steel for breakfast

I'm pretty sure the cage had too much lead in it. That could cause some major issues.

Hell if I know.

A full wax like that has lots of drawbacks. Ingrown hairs, itches like hell, hurts like hell.

Put on a guard and shave it down to 1/4 inch and you can get quick, cheap, and miss all those drawbacks.

As long as you put on the stuff they give you everyday after you shower, you should be good with the ingrown hairs. And the growing back is not NEARLY as bad as if you shaved--talk about ingrown hairs. Plus, it's nice being completely smooth--I have very sensitive skin, and that's not only applied to my face/legs.
