So after renting a truck for the week (dodge 1500) It became clear to me how much more supoerior they are to any car...reguardless of speed
So anyways the only thing that really got me was that the engine on the 1500 i rented felt like it had issues...like in the mornings it would idle hard and in hot (it was 115 today) it was sluggish.
So anyways is there any reviews out there of the various motors? I've tried a V8 F150, 250, triton, hemi, dodge 1500, 2500, chevy 2500,3500 and i guess out of all of them i liked the triton the best but from what i hear (and seen from just the line at the ford service center) it isn't the most reliable. What about the Titan or Any other packages out there? I'm looking for something with a towing package to help dad out, tow horses fairly regularly and need somethat that could pull a trailor + 2 horses + feed for a week up some pretty crazy uphill grades...
UPDATE: Memorial day sales just tempted me too much. Ended up going with a dodge Dakota /w V8 Magnum engine. Retail: 25K I got it for 17.5. It has power, isn't quiet as heavy as the 1500, but I'm happy wiht it
