Your shopping cart link cannot be viewed by the public. You need to make everything in your shopping cart into a public wish list for people to be able to view it. As far as that memory is concerned it's not going to give you any real world performance advantages. Your better off sticking with OCZ value or Corsair Value ram instead.

Edit: Here's what I would get: Chaintech mobo, 3500+ venice (if not OCing), Corsair value, X800XL

If you even do minor OCing, even 400MHz (not difficult, even on stock voltage) I would recommend a 3000+ and OCZ value VX, and the DFI Ultra-D. That RAM will run 2-2-2 at 250 MHz with the voltage that mobo can support. It would probably be qaroin d the same price for the RAM and mobo upgrade since you are dropping the CPU as well.

The DFI board doesnt like Corsair Value. Corsair Value is known to give the DFI board fits. The latest BIOS is supposed to fix this problem, but despite this, the problem still persists. A better memory choice for the DFI board is Twinmos UTT or OCZ Value VX.

He recommended OCZ Value VX for the DFI...

Powmax is horrible. Get rid of that psu and get a good brand (enermax, antec, tagan, fortron, seasonic, zippy). XFX 6800gt's have had some serious problems. I suggest you read this thread. Everything else looks good.

I want to stay with the Asus MOBO only because of the features. I am getting Evega video card. I will go with venice and I think I will stay with the memory I had already picked out.

You can get the same mobo you already picked, but without SLI. IMO SLI is a waste and buying an SLI with the idea of adding another 6800GT later once it comes time where your games don't run optimally is just stupid. Do you really think 2x 6800GT's in SLI would outperform a hig-end card when it comes time to upgrade? No they won't. So that is why I suggest just gett a non-SLI mobo.

Also that RAM you chose is a complete waste of money. You can get Corsair Value Select and it will make no ifference in performance at all.

Sense I'm not really a overclocker is it best that I go with a Intel 3.0 CPU and just get better other parts including mabey DDR2 memory? If so this is what I might get tell me what you think.

-Abit Fatal1ty AA8XE MOBO
-Intel Pentium 4 630 800MHz FSB LGA 775 EM64T Processor 3.0GHz
-Mushkin PC2-4200 DDR2 Matched Dual-Pack Dual-Channel 1GB RAM
-Western Digital Raptor 74GB 3.5" Serial ATA150 10,000 RPM Hard Drive
-NEC Black IDE DVD Burner
-Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
-MSI RX800XL 256MB GDDR3 256-BIT PCI-Express x16

Total price should come to $1,156.18.

If your not a big gamer then why spend so much on a video card. What games do you play and what resolutions? If you multitask a bit I would spend the extra cash on a X2.

I might do that although it might be a little pricey. My favorite game is Counter Strike Condition Zero. I do like the Rise of Nation games too. Another is the Sims series. Intel came out with the new Pentium D it;s said to be priced at around $240 in late this year wich is when I will be getting my componets. The x2 did not have very good reviews that I've read. I also like that Intel has DDR2 support. Also I like great looking graphics.
