I saw this on cnn today... AFI to pick 100 songs and wondered what you people think. Personally, I liked Casablanca song, and que sera sera from the man who knew too much, i think.

Expect to see a lot of older songs dominate that list - Somewhere Over the Rainbow will probably be #1. With all the soundtracks to mega hit movies that John Williams has written (pretty much any Spielberg or Lucas movie) he'll undoubtedly have at least half a dozen in there. Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, ET, etc.

I tend to like some of the jazzier songs when it comes to movie soundtracks. The Pink Panther theme is a good classic and the original James Bond theme (with the raw guitar intro and brass chorus) both immediately jump to mind.

Not quite how I'd describe it, "off the hook" is reserved for other music, but its a very good soundtrack.
