I always enjoyed one of the older commercials poking fun at the US Navy: "It's not just a job, it's $96.78 a week."

I guess my other favorite was for "Swill, everything you wanted in a mineral water...And More."

What do you think are/were the best SNL Commercial Parodies?

Their commercial parodies haven't been all that good over the years, however the BEST fake commercial they've EVER made is the dog lawyer commercial. If you don't fall down laughing at that, you're touched in the head or something.
 
I like that one they did in black and white a few years ago where they're a law firm or something and they basically say "we haven't changed"

and then they show some old dude back in the day talking and he says something like "we will invest only in white owned businesses" or something like that.

hehehe

also, cookie dough gatorade was the bomb!
 
Don't remember all the details but it was something like this:

"To show the great suspension & handling of the new MkII (looked like a 78 Tbird) we're going to take 7 day old Nathan Rubenstein on a tour of city streets"

You see the rabbi doing his thing, while the Driver (Garret Morris) is really paying no attention to the road- hits every pothole on the street

Can't remember the name of it, but the commercial for the car you can have sex with was my favorite.

The best commercials they ever did are:

1. The Bass O Matic
2. Little Chocolate Donuts

Happy Fun Ball & Colon Blow are pretty good as far as the newer ones go....
 
"If you have a thirst for beer.... AND you're gay..."

There was another one I liked that Roseanne Barr/Arnold was in. I'm not sure it was one of the normal 30-second commercial parodies at the beginning of the show, but it might as well have been. I believe it was a credit card commercial, where there's a guy who lost his credit card and calls the CC company for assistance, and in the commercial he's talking about how very helpful they were. Then they cut away to Roseanne, who is supposed to be the CSR at the CC company, and she's saying about what an idiot the guy was, and really putting him down.
 
An oldie that I loved was Quarry Cereal.

I also thought the "Love Toilet" was quite humorous. 🙂

I never thought Bass-O-Matic was funny.

At any rate, Little Chocolate Donuts is good, and so is Colon Blow. Two I forgot.. But nothing touches Schmidt's Gay.. the best..
 
Since there are so many Schmidt's Gay fans in here, the last time I saw the parody they used a rip-off of Van Halen's Beautiful Girls in the background. I'm probably just crazy, but when they first started showing it, didn't they use the actual Van Halen song?

Could've sworn it was, even though it would make less sense for a 'gay' commercial. It's nothing imporant, but figured since we're on the topic of it someone might know.
