Honestly, unless Zagg has updated their line, its nothing compared to the dry adhesive protectors.

I've used static clings before, and I'm still happy with my zaggs. The orange peel effect is only really noticable when the screen is off, at an angle, and theres direct glare from a light. when looking at it normally, you don't see it. also, the grippy effect mostly wears off after a couple weeks. Mine feels no grippier really than an unprotected screen, so long as I don't use my fingernails (which you shouldn't anyway)

Also, with the static cling ones I've used before, they were really only good for the first application. Yeah, they can technically be re-applied, but it's never quite right the second time around.

I can honestly say that I've never "noticed" my protector to be grippy, nor seen the orange peel effect when I wasn't looking for it.

Its disgusting to have a scratched up screen.

My screen protector is invisible anyway, I always forget that I even have one on.

Thats the thing, it doesnt scratch. Ive dropped mine countless of times, on concrete, pebbles, rocks, keys, etc etc and the screen is still perfect only the bezel is a little banged up.

I just buy some cheap ones for a few bucks with free shipping through Ebay and replace them every month or so.

Well, the colour splotching went away, thankfully, but the rippled effect remains. Also, the soft plastic retains gouges like a mofo.

If you are scratching your gorilla glass then I'm gonna have to recommend you stop leaving it with your 5 year old nephew. Cuz thats about the only way you can damage it.

I've had the Droid for well over a year. Left it in a pocket filled with change, keys, small knife, leftover tinfoil from a piece of chewing gum, then I run all over town with it for days at a time. No permanent marks at all.
Thrown it in a glove box with a pistol, several extra magazines, steel flashlight, large multitool, big pocketknife, metal pressure gauge, Altoids box, and the car charger. Bounced around the mountains in George Washington National Forest for a whole day.
No scratch.
The only thing I dont dare try is 40 grit sandpaper, aside from that I'm really not worried.

I'm telling you guys, whatever you are doing with your phones is friggen WRONG!

hmm, perhaps ask skinomi for another one? I think they have a lifetime warranty. What does the rippled effect look like? I'm not sure what you mean. I tend to prefer wet applications because it's much easier to align it.

Anyway sorry for the recommendation then.
