Come up with a Rush Saying! Like:

"God made the world in 7 days, but he had to stop and listen to 2112"
"Spirt of Radio? Rush IS spirit of Radio!"
"Rush came from Canada? No.. Canada was Rush's private practice space"

What sort of ingenious saying can you come up with? Reason I ask is because my local small town is hosting a radio contest to see who can come up with the best "Rush Saying"... Winner will be driven on a fancy bus to one of Rushes tour locations to see their concert. I haven't seen Rush ONCE in all my years and would love to see them before they "call it a career" and retire from their profession.

So... What's a good Rush saying??

Yep, 'cause that mindless cRap you probably listen to now is so much better than the most talented rock musicians on earth.
One thing about the internet, there is no shortage of brain-dead tools and douchebags. You're so cool.

Who said I listen to rap? Why don't you stop assuming, you a-hole. Btw, I think Neil Peart is the best drummer alive.

if you wanna play the "my band is more technical than your band", i'll play. i mostly listen to metal bands, many of which play more technical stuff than rush: Between The Buried And Me, Dillinger Escape Plan, Necrophagist, Protest The Hero, Black Dahlia Murder, The Human Abstract, etc, etc.

i used to be into Rush when i was in high school. i respect them as musicians, but the cheese factor of the band (largely Geddy's lyrics/voice, synths, etc) ruin them for me. everytime i hear Rush i imagine pasty kids breaking out the cheetos and mountain dew and gathering for a LAN party.

So why the threadcrapping? I wasn't making any assumptions. The threadcrapping is why I told you 2 off, no other reason. And you see, the fact that you like Rush AND had to threadcrap just makes you that much more of a tool.

I like Rush...but common.... that's a tad of an overstatement.

No, it's not. Seriously.

Peart -- arguably the world's greatest drummer
Lee -- one of the world's best bassists, no question of it
Lifeson -- a far far better guitarist than he gets credit for, arguably one of the best

I respect them as musicians. But geez, how can you stand a voice that sounds like that. And the lyrics, how corny can you get?
