My recent favorite has been Vitner. Their bbq chips and four cheese flavored chips are sooooooo loaded with flavor. MMMMMmmmmm. Locally, they're only available at Family Dollar (and cost $1 - cheapest chips that taste good). I got them one day when I was out haying - needed a quick snack and wanted some chips. I happened to stop at that place & realized I didn't have any money than the change in the car, which pretty much limited me to that brand.

Just thinking about them has me craving them.

Years ago, my favorites by a landslide were at a regional chain grocery store: Tops. Their all-dressed flavor (all the flavors blended together on each chip) were incredible. I don't think they make them anymore; at least I haven't seen them. I never would have bought them if someone hadn't had me taste one.

And lately, Troyer Farms potato chips did something to their recipe or something. They used to be pretty good if you were using chip dip. They were on sale a couple weeks ago (the best chips are generally whichever brand is on sale), and I picked up a bag. My DOG wouldn't even eat them. Maybe it was a bad batch or something, but my wife swears she'll never buy them again.

We took a bag of Lay's Ketchup and a bag of Lay's Sour Cream & Onion and mixed them all together in a big bowl. It was a revelation! They should sell them pre-mixed like that. :awe:

I love Dill Pickle as well, so good.

For plain chips I like Gibbles.
Middlesworth is good for plain and BBQ.
Utz is awesome for sour cream and onion.

I'm not sure if any of these brands are available outside of PA.

I don't think I've seen Utz anywhere. I'll have to look for them; we actually have a pretty crappy chip selection around here. :(

The one chip to rule them all:

But they taste a bit different since they changed the packaging design.

no Poll ???????????????????

permaban requested for violation of ATOT's unwritten rules.

Way too many brands and brands that are not available nationwide/international for a poll.

Exactly. There's a crazy amount of brands and flavors, very few of which come to mind. Poll would just be a waste.

Anyone tried Pickle flavor pringles? They're actually kinda good :)

Dunno why but cape code chips have become really hard to find here in Tucson. They sold them at costco for a long arse time. Kettle brands chips are usually quite pricey too, like $3.50 for a small bag.

Every so often I get in the mood for Pringles, and I'll eat a whole tube in a single sitting. I feel dirty afterward, and won't get them again for a couple months :^D

Didn't even know they distributed Utz beyond the northeast.

Look for the Grandma Utz bags. They're fried in lard and delicious.

They're made in Pennsylvania and have spread most of the way up and down the east coast. Anywhere from Maine to maybe North Carolina or so you should be able to find them, anything west of that and you'll probably be out of luck.

Everyone knows Zapp's are the best. They beat cape cod's big time. Google it~!
