What's a good online resource for activities and all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and Cozumel?

cozumel is the best place to stay in cancun.
I've been around that area and I will only go to cancun to use the airport.
Cancun reminded me of a girls gone wild video in Ft. Lauderdale on spring break.

I agree. I've been all over that area. awesome diving in Cozumel.

south of cancun is nice as well.

Indeed, the "mayan gold coast" as they call it, it is fantastic.
The world's second largest reef system begins south of cozumel, and extends for miles. The diving is great:)

cancun is a place you go when your leaving the wife at home.

there are better places which are less springbreak-esque

My future wife and I went to Cancun last year and had a great time. We didn't go clubbing much because we had everything we needed at the all-inclusive resort. It turned out to be a cheaper vacation that if we had decided to go to Disney for the week by far.

uhm.... i would make sure cozumel is ok. people we were talking to at the airport this past week said it was still horribly ravaged there.

Most of Cancun is recovering well and the beaches are coming back; you shouldn't have any problems at all with a July visit. That said, unless you want to go clubbing in the Hotal Zone at night, there's really no reason to stay in Cancun. I'd recommend some of the resorts south in the Riviera Maya. The Iberostar Paraiso is nice, as well as the Barcelo Maya, Paradisus Riviera and the Secrets Capri. If you're looking for a decent resort at a good price, try the Catalonia Riviera Maya, probably the best deal for the money.

Here's a decent site to check things out: http://www.cancuntoday.net/

We went in May and it was hot then, and very humid. Because of the humidity, the tile floor in the hotel always felt wet, and I had a hard time using my electric razor because it would stick to my face. :)
It rained 5 out of the 7 days we were there.
There were a lot of teens there but I've been to places in Florida were it was a a lot more crowded and wild.
We went diving in Cancun, which was OK. There is some reef there to look at too.

I hear the rich famous people stay in Playa del Carmen.

I was there last March and it was nice, but not as nice as some of the other hotels.

The Riu hotels are very nice.
