<< Wow, cassette tapes. You know I don't think I've used a tape deck in at least 5 years. If you know what you are doing, you can squeak pretty decent quality from a cassette, but the lack of direct track access is a real bummer. >>
Actually, Type IV high bias cassette tape on high end audio systems will sound better than a CD. However, in a normal system the CD will sound better. Analogue is technically better but because of its susceptability to "noise" expensive equipment is needed to get the full potential of analogue, while digital will sound better on lower quality (ie less expensive) componants.
