A dog is the only one that's a real pet. A cat comes in second, since it's more of a house decoration than a pet. It won't do tricks, some won't even acknowledge you. The rest of them aren't even real pets. It's like owning a pet bug. They'll run away at the first opportunity.

i like birds too...they are pretty interesting at times...and they just LOVE shiny stuff...all the squaking and random shitting gets old though.. >.> i wouldnt mind do have a nice parrot to put on my shoulder from time to time though...O_X ARGGGHHHHH

Dogs are too needy. You can go away for a couple days and leave a cat by itself in the house. Try doing that with a dog.

Nice thing about cats is that they can use a litter box, which is VERY nice when it's raining and you'd have to take a dog out to do the same thing.

i sit on my porch while i force the dog into the grass...it isnt that bad...but it is also why i wait until it rains to give him a bath 😛

I predict that after a brief period of real results, the poll will be eventually overrun by cat advocates.

There's something about cat owners that makes them a bit "odd". It seems that most overly-politically-motivated looneys are cat people.

Is that because they're too lazy to let a dog out? Maybe if they got off their computer they'd be able to enjoy a normal life.
