For myself, drinking one (1) and only one good premium dark beer will get me in the right zone to lay it down for the night.

Everyone's a bit different. I usually find that if you want to adjust what time you fall asleep, look at what time you get going in the morning. That won't help someone with genuine insomnia, but I tend to find that if I get up about 7:00 to 7:15am and keep my day fairly busy, that I'm more than ready to wind down about 11pm.
 
Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time tastes good. The "effective" ingredient is chamomile. I don't know if it works or not. I don't have issues sleeping, but at least it tastes good.

My wife loves this stuff. She likes the little bear on the box.

I had a good night's sleep last night, woke up and did 18km, then was zonked out on the couch for 4 hours after. Exercise works like a charm.

Exercise + a beer = zzzzzz
