Who needs buttons? I've been doing the same thing for years - using a pair of tweezers or sometimes even a screw to short the power on and reset pins on an open board. More recently boards include switches on the board itself. The EVGA classified even has a CMOS reset switch on the board and on the back panel! :Q
It even has the post lights, voltage mod buttons, power and reset on an auxiliary pcb.
