Best notebook containing Radeon 9600 or 9700?

Envious. Did you get the 14" or the 15" screen? How did you overclock, using the Omega driver utility? The 14" is in a smaller case, right? I noticed that it's lighter, which is why I'm leaning that way. I want a 14" SXGA+. I'm probably going to buy one of them in the near future. How's your battery life with the modular battery in (if you shelled out for it)?

I overclocked using the ATITool utility.

I got the 2373KTU. It's a 14". I decided to go for the 14" after thinking about it a lot. Reasons are: the smaller form factor, battery life, and the other reason was because of price. The price difference came out to around $600, identically configured, although the difference in replacement LCD price is only around $50. It's not as much of a difference with other configurations but for some reason the KXU is almost $600 more than the KTU.

I didn't shell out for the modular battery but I did get an additional 6cell to go along with the 9cell it comes with. I can't give you a battery estimate because it changes each time depending on how I use it.

I have a 15" Powerbook... which has a 9700/128mb... although someone in this post pointed out that there are no good games for Mac... I guess i'll have to stick to warcraft III, Call of Duty, Metal of Honor, BF1942, UT2004, and soon Doom3.... until the good games come out that is.... Now if I could just port windows XP onto this thing instead of having this stupid OSX thing... lol (kidding of course)

This is kind of an old thread but if you're still looking the emachines M6810/M6811 are out now and are way too cheap for the features they have, IMO.

I'd vote for the T42p as the best all around (disregarding bang for the buck) notebook. Can't beat IBM's build quality or their tech support.
