I was lookin at the rio carbon, but I really don't know much about these. I want something small and lightweight for the gym. 2-5Gb is fine. Like the ipod mini, only not the ipod mini. I want to be able to use MP3s is the reason why.

The MP3 player i decide to chooce OVER the ipod is the
Rio Nitrus

Why i choose it over the ipod or ipod mini?

1)The battery.Ipod say their battery is good for 8 hours.God know its not true.It will last you you like 4 hours like. The battery on Rio Nitrus is 16 hours(ok also not extremely true, but i was able to get it for like 10-11 hours,LCD backlight off).It also only take like 2-3 hours to recharge.

2)The size. Its so small. The size you see on the website is what u you get in RL!!!

1.5 GIG is ok, smaller than the 4 gig of ipod mini, but for me 1.5 gig is ok.You can fit around 350 songs mp3( or 700 wma 64k )

Negative note:It doesnt have any case. You have to buy something to make it fit in.The earbuds they give with it too are very average, sound like 2 $ earbuds lol.

I also choose it over IPOD because of the problem iv heard about battery going dead after a while on ipods.
