It wasn't that bad. I didn't like the sequel though.

Which one is the prequel? I keep meaning to watch it.

May just grab the new boxed set even though I'm not the hugest fan of the franchise. I do have a real itch to re-watch Season of the Witch.

I saw The Conjuring the other day and thought it was pretty good for a horror film. I'd recommend it.

one thing i thought was very cool about that movie that my brother and i discussed after we watch it ...

was there not 1 person in the movie died.

good movie regardless.

i'd also recommend...

halloween
scream
sinister (for more recent flicks)

while not really reminding me of halloween, i'm a big fan of the following too:

house of 1000 corpses
the hills have eyes (newer one, never saw the old one)
texas chainsaw massacre (jessica biel one)

I don't know why people think the movie Halloween is scary. It's no better than Friday the 13th. Amusing at best.

Nightmare on Elm Street or The Exorcist.

I like the remake of Salems Lot too. Although not that scary. I think it was made sometime in circa '05. I have the DVD.

dude you can't call out halloween or fritday the 13th for not being scary, then say nightmare on elmstreet. those movies are basically comedies.

halloween just owns because of the atmosphere of the movie. the sound is incredible in that movie.

Halloween (2007) and Halloween 2 (2009). Malcolm McDowell is pretty much perfect in these.

Rudimental.

That's just a list anyone would throw up, without exploring things.

The stepfather.

Its about a guy who kills his family because they aren't perfect. He adopts a new family, but the daughter isn't perfect so he wants to start over again. How can he start over? By killing the family!

Hahahaha...

If you don't go out and see the new ANNABELLE 2014 horror flick, well, it's just not Halloween.
What a horror treat.
And Alfre Woodard. Nuff said....

So much for Rotten tomatoes credibility.
