Best Movie of all time...

There are a bunch of movies that are great, but probably two of my favorites are:

Backdraft (dont call me gay 🙂)
American History X

The Matrix would probably come in third, what are your favorites?

Best of all time covers a LOT of territory, so I'll just stick to the last decade. Frequency.

Russ - Yeah I pre-ordered it from Buy.com back in the day when they actually had bargains, coupons, free shipping, etc. What really struck a chord with me in the theatre was what a great story it was, although hard to believe but I liked all the characters a lot. The father/son story was just very touching, plus the mystery/suspense, blah blah blah. Overall a great movie and you gotta love the part where the young character told his best buddy "Yahoo" remember that. LOL.

The ending although sappy was excellent.

RossMAN,

To my way of thinking, it was nearly a perfect blending of human drama and science fiction/fantasy. I've recommended it to several friends, all of whom have said it's one of the best movies they've ever seen; even those who would not normally like the genre.

If I didn't say the 4 star wars movies I would not be deserving of my name..empire strikes back is my personal fav..
and for the runner up back to the future..just a good ole goofy movie

Proof positive that the majority of those who reply to movie threads must be juuuust hitting puberty.

Mine:
2001: A Space Odyssey

And yeah I saw it in the theater.

My wife and I agree. We were just watching it! I also really like Jaws!

Matrix, Star Wars, most Nicolas Cage movies, Braveheart plus most other Mel Gibson movies, etc...

I'd have to say Schindler's List

While you certainly don't get enjoyment out of the film, it is the most powerful movie I've ever seen.
