After reading several reviews, I heard that 865PE and 875 chipset maybe the best chipset available in the Intel 4 series. Furthermore, I also heard that 865PE board Asus P4P800 E - Deluxe and the P4P800 SE are probably the best overall board. The Asus P4C800 is comparable to Asus P4P800 deluxe, hence not worth spending all extra $$$ for it. I think I saw a review where the Neo 2 board by MSI KICK ASS, prob best bang for the buck. Please verfiy if 865PE Asus is probably the best Intel board. (Think about reliability, stability, and performance, not cheap; Asus board).
In regards to the cpu, I heard the 2.8 maybe the best cpu in it segment considering price and ability to oc. Northwood of course. Get one for like 170-185. Heard story of people easily crank it up 3.2. on air. Please verify.
Lastly, I also heard that Crucial Ballistix PC3200 OWNS ALL PC3200 in the performance memory region is that true. I always thought XMS and HyperX as the best.
