<< Descartes: Comparing HTML writing to car mechanics is not really good. Mechanics need a number of tools because of physical limitations, if they could I'm sure they'd be happy to work on an engine that allowed them to work on everything with one wrench. HTML allows for this, pages written in Notepad are no different from pages written in other editors, provided the author writes it properly. >>
I wasn't comparing HTML writing to car mechanics, how is that even possible? I was comparing the use of tools of one activity to another. If ever I interviewed a developer for our company who said, "I use notepad for my development needs", he'd be out the door rather quickly. As one becomes more advanced, one acquires more advanced tools. It's really quite simple. Notepad is not a tool for a developer (again, other than simple documents, *not* development).
