Actually, I was thinking quite seriously about BYU, and am probably going to end up going there. As for the MTV, I don't really care as its probably the dumbest channel I've ever had the misfortune of watching.

I almost went to BYU, literally the only thing I didn't like was the size, I didn't want a big school. But that's just my personal feelings, it's great. Sometimes I wish I went there instead of here, but for the most part I'm happy here at Tulane.

Im attending Devry on CET (Computer Engineering Technology) Degree. I am happy with it so far, and its not as limited as CS degrees.

I went to Cal St. Polytechnic Univ. for my undergrad...been working a couple of years and now I'm probably going to go to CMU for grad school in Chemical Engineering (I was accepted for Fall '03).

As someone from CMU already pointed out, CMU's undergrad CS/CompE program is okay but not that great. Why? Because the prof's spend their energy on the graduate program which is tops in the nation (w/ MIT). But he'll still benefit from the recognition that CMU has and get into an awesome grad school or he'll land a great job (even in this job market).

But if you want to get a great undergrad education, go to a school that doesn't have a great grad program in the same area of study.

Harvey Mudd is a top notch school, no doubt...several of my friends went to Mudd. But their opinion of Mudd (and mine as well) is that Mudd assigns way too much busy work such that it makes it difficult to really learn...your too busy doing copious amounts of homework and preparing for or taking too many insane tests.
