It would be sort of hard to make "rules" for such a poll.

What would you base it on? Looks? Ease of install? Cooling potential? Mod-ability? Features? Price? All of the above?

For example, if you don't figure in price, I could claim my case king because of the intriguing look, decent case layout, quality construction, and most importantly, integrated liquid cooling system (waterblock, radiator, pump, tank). However, for what I paid you could most likely get a different quality case with a decent liquid cooling system and put it all together yourself.

This sort of poll isn't interesting because there cannot be only one. There is only what is best for you. No one size-fits-all government mental attitude when it comes to gaming cases. To me, most of 'em are fugly... I'd say the Chenbro Gaming Bomb II (now goes by the nondescript part no. PC61566) is one of the best cases ever made, period. First one I knew of to have a 120mm fan mount IN the removable mobo tray. Too bad it was so expensive and is not sold in the States any longer. But that's as far as I can go. (Don't bother to follow the link found by Froogle as it just goes to a long-OOS site - and I'd bet they never were In-Stock on it. Just techie bait.)

I can't name an exact case, but here are my requirements for a gaming case...
1. Must be easily transported (handles and/or carrying strap, < 15lbs)
2. Handle ATX mb and power supply
3. One optical drive
4. Three 3.5" internal hard drive bays (though I never seem to use more than 2)
5. Handle one long graphics card
6. Looks bad a**!!!!

Non-requirements...
1. Quite (I always wear headphones. Can't hear anymore anyways)
2. Tooless (I hate it when reviewers complain about missing toolless features. Sheesh!)

My gaming case = Lian Li G70B. I was a bit worried about the stability of it, but it seems to be holding up well so far with all of the weight that I'm putting in it. It's a hell of a change from my old case to this one. It's so light, and, well, not built like a brick shithouse.

Well, for regular gamers, that would be the Antec Nine Hundred, hands down!

For elitists, the Mountain Mods U2 UFO -- take your pick!

Gosh, that was too easy... :D

I like my NZXT Lexa - it's got decent air cooling, is fairly quiet, looks good (well, to me anyway, I know some people don't like it), was easy to install everything into and it's very light so easy to transport especially with the carrying strap.

First of all a good gaming should have a better cooling system, second comes the ease to install and thirdly how good it looks from the outside and as well as internally.

even though i never owned a good gaming case i think Antec PERFORMANCE TX TX1050B Black Computer Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811129158 which i own is really cool in terms of looks and ease to install. Cooling does take a back stage as there is not much air flowing in and out of the case :(.

ROFLROFLROFL.... u need a fork lift to carry that case around.... ahahahahahaha...

Personally my favorate case of all time is my TJ-07 with TT's Armor right behind

Gaming case: Thermaltake Xavior <--- i think thats how it was spelled... It was a pretty nice case, light, very quiet, had some bling nice fat clear side window. It also came with a carry strap so u could carry it around like a backpack. i thought that was hella cool for when i went home for the holidays during college. :D

Best thing about having a case that is a 2 person lift is that you don't have to worry too much about it being stolen. Sucks like hell when you have to evactuate for a hurricane and you are by yourself though.

Cases are to a large degree a matter of personal preference, so most people will probably just say what they have. :p

I would go for the (original) CM Stacker. You can't beat its combination of strength and customizability at a sub-$100 price. It is fairly heavy though.

I also rather like that Enermax case with the 250mm side fan. I'd like to see a fulltower with one of those fans built in. It looks like it should be relatively easy to mod the Stacker with one since there is already that big circular grill on one side, although I don't know where you would buy the fan.

Well the ARMOR i feel is better then the stacker even tho the layout is almost identical. Reason is due to the extra hard drive cage in the rear so it leaves your front basically open.

I however like the bottom exhaust on the stacker. I modded my NAS so it could take a 3x120 radiator at the bottom. All i needed to do was cut a little bit away, lay a sheet of clear acrylic and then mount the rad on top. I get really nice temps because of this layout with hardly any noise.

To answer your question, im not 100% sure but i think you can just use the side door off the ARMOR. If not u can certainly strip the side fan off the side door on the armor. The side pannel is like 30 dollars so thats one hell of a expensive fan, but that is a option you can go though. The side pannel on that door upgrade uses a 25cm fan.

Anyhow my Stacker is on loan to my brother right now because he had a pump failer on his rig so i cant confirm this 100%. But i can tell you if u stand the two side by side, there identical almost identical in height. STacker is a tad bit higher due to its top port USB while TT has the usb stuff on top.

But yeah I suppose u said GAMING case and not a Lanparty case. I would probably laugh is someone brought a UFO to a lanparty on a dolly. That would be one hell of a sight, explaining at the airport why u have a 100lb case on a dolly at the checkin. :D

The Armor looks good too but as far as I can tell, doesn't support dual power supplies and has those doors (or whatever they are). I personally hate doors on cases. :p Are they removable?

That would be quite convenient if you could just use the Armor fan panel, although they would need to be exactly the same size for that to work. Thanks for the info.

I was in Radio Shack the other day and they were selling a Thermaltake model and they had all of the fan controllers and the lights and stuff for it. It looked ok but it is hard to say. I thought it was upscale for Radio Shack.

ummm as i said i think the pannal is almost identical. I have both cases, and honestly i dont see the need for a dual PSU layout. My TJ-07 has it, but i dont use it. I dont think u'll ever need a PSU greater then 750W unless ur quading sli or 2 8800GTX on a Extreme platform processor. And as i said, if you want that 25cm fan, that maybe your cheapest options because i cant think of another place u can go pick up a fan that big on a 12VDC setting.

And yes u can remove the doors if you want, but i like them. They have saved my front bay from collision of stuff. And the doors are really really strong. IT would take some effort to actually bend them.

Hehe which is my first pick on the best case. My QX loves it, Thermochill PA 120.3 loves the room in the bottom. Now if i can only get my mind set on the PCnC 1kw vs the Silverstone OP1000.

ARGH Choices Choices :\

QFT. And my "gaming" case is the black P180. Weighs a ton, but is quiet, cool, and beautiful.

It's good if you can remove them. I'm not too concerned about the strength; doors just get on my nerves when changing CDs/DVDs. :p

As for dual PSUs, it's a useful feature if you already have an older unit and need more power later on. You can buy another, similar one instead of shelling out for the expensive models. As a general rule, two weaker PSUs (although still of high quality) are quite a bit cheaper than one equivalent powerful one.
