I vote for Megaman 2. Great music, gameplay, bosses, weapons. I still remember the tunes for every stage 🙂

No way, ain't the best ever. I'm not even going to join this discussion though, too many great games out there and it usually gives me nostalgia!

Agreed...Dune 2 is awesome...but, there are way to many awesome games to name the "best game". Plus, certain games hit home with people more than others. If I had to pick one...

Final Fantasy VII

Another good call, this one is probably in my top 20 if not top 10.

Best game ever... I hate this topic because of the fact that each genre should really have it's "best game".

In my opinion, it's gotta be Zelda: OoT.

Had to think about it a while... Gradius 3 for Super Nintendo. I don't think I have ever played any game as much as this one.

I said FarCry for all LANs I have been to. It's great for LANs.

My opinion in this matter has to be forfeited to Quake1. If, for no other reason than the fact that I had invested 9 years into the game. I can think of many very enjoyable single player games that I've played over the years, but it is hard for me to acknowledge their worth when comparing it to a game that literally evolved and grew over the years (quake, winquake, glquake, quakeworld, zquake, fuhquake, ezquake [I'm forgetting a few]).
