The moments that all was quiet and you suddenly have a huge freaken monster spawn on you. . . heart pounding as you frantically run around trying to pull out the right weapon to kill the monster... being chased by the huge monster that breaths fire.

Then Half-Life 2, in the prison area, when you drop down and the giant antlion that breaks through the wall and chases you. Ohhhh the exileration and near heart stopping situations.

yeah, way too many to list as a fav. i would have to say my fav fps game though is soldier of fortune 2. i played that game online for a long time. 1st and only fps game where i joined a clan. too bad it ended badly.

UT2k4.

I simply cannot seem to get tired of it 😀

I have this feeling it will be my fave game till UT2k7, since Q4 was a disappointment.
 
To the guy who said monkey island..Fricken right!

My top of the top has to be Zelda, Link to the past. What a great clean game. Fun hours and hours. I played that sooo many times.

To the guy who said dark reign. No..that game sucked.

And I agree with you about FO1and 2. But will there ever be FO3? I hope so...
 
SuperMarioBros 3...I literally spent hundreds of hours playing that game with my freinds when I was 6. And the NES had no save option so two times a week we would defeat the whole game (upto world 7) from scratch. I still play this on my GBA...The sole reason I bought it.

Any could be considered the best. However, Zelda for the N64 is supposedly great (I never played).

To add, Kings/Space Quests and Quest for Glory series was a huge deal in the 80's and very early 90's.
