Best one? Any console, any year.i want the one who have the most rule implemented.

Kinda new to D&D universe (started playing with people with 3.5 rules ) and i want to learn the most/pratice toward games.

Planescape: Torment. Not just the best D&D game, but perhaps the best video game of all time (IMO of course).

This is for the PC btw.

Try Baldur's gate 1&2. Neverwinter nights is pretty good for setting up custom multiplayer games too.

I like the AD&D Xbox game. Me and my girl played it to the end, one of the only few co-op games that we've ever played together.

I'm pretty sure it does have the latest ruleset. There's lots of fan created modules, and ones you can buy too. Up to 64 players I think, no idea on server req.

Neverwinter Nights Platinum Ediition for latest rules but some customizations to skills.

Planescape: Torment for best story / game based on D&D.

The original Gold Box game? I played the heck out of that on my 286 12 MHz PC :)

Someone re-created at least the first one as a Neverwinter Nights module.

I preferred the Pool of Radiance series and Krynn series to EOB though. But to each their own.

The rules differences between 3 and 3.5 are not so great that you'd get screwed up playing neverwinter nights...
I've been playing for about 15 years and I still don't have a really great grasp of the rules, maybe because I've never run a game.

You never truly know the rules of a game until you GM or DM.
