Best DOS games?

I used to have a lot of fun with DOS games in the past, but never used DOS for too long and never had many games so never played a lot of them. What are your favorite DOS games? Basically i'm looking for games i can download, but just list any games you liked and hopefully i'll be able to find them *ahem* legally. I can't remember many of the ones i used to like, Paratrooper comes to mind...

So list your favorite DOS games, no matter what genre.

Try Ur-Quan Masters (sc2.sourceforge.net), the open-source remake of Star Control 2. It actually IS Star Control 2... not a remake, but it's not the original game since the original's source code was lost in the abyss that is Accolade.

Blood
Crusader: No Remorse (4th best game ever made, defenitely play this one)
Crusader: No Regret
Lands of Lore: Throne of Chaos
System Shock
Ultima Underworld
Warcraft
Warcraft II

A loooooooooooooooooooooong time ago (9years or more) there was a game called Ïnsult"I cannot find it, but if you do it is the BEST game EVER!! It is text based and all you do is insult the computer. The computer gets mad and starts talking smack back right? If the computer talks better smack it just keeps going and you (actually) start to feel stupid. If you win the computer "gets mad"and crashes your dos window. It was freakin ingenious.

Other than maybe Dark Forces there isnt much I could add.
Perhaps Ravenloft: Stone Prophet
Ascendancy
Master of Orion 2 (it had a DOS install and a win95 install)
Dark Legions (the strategy game where you had control over a bunch of monsters)

All the games listed here are really good. I'll just add all the old Ultima games, not just Underworld. 1-6 I think were pure DOS, 7 and up had windows versions.

Wing Commander: Privateer. It used Origin's evil in-house memory manager though, and might not like virtual DOS.
