Agreed. Get a vehicle that was owned by an individual who didn't hammer on it. The MR2? I'd be willing to bet that 90% of them have been driven to their fullest potential. Remember, you might have to sacrifice some looks in order to get a reliable vehicle. Cars that look super-sporty have more-than-likely been driven quite hard.

I paid $3k for my '98 Corolla...now has 121k on it, but it's still in great shape, and runs great. Manual tranny, so it's not too boring to drive :p

Because it's a Ford.

LOL hehe, that was funny, but really, Ford gets an unfair reputation. I've driven Fords all my life, and by simply taking care of it, I have never had to spend 1 cent in repairs.

The beauty of Ford (as opposed to Honda) is that they depreciate faster than Enron stock. a friggen 1 year old Taurus with 25,000 miles usually is about 10,000 bucks lower than a new one of the same model!!!!

Ohh yeah, a 2002 or 2001 Taurus SEL with 200hp Duratec engine, leather, and the works is a great car.

I will admit that Accords are probably built a little better, and Honda makes a GREAT 4 cylinder engine, but you gotta pay so damn much for em, even used ones.
